in the earlier Smackdown Vs Raw games I don't think the animation really made sense with unmasked Kane. Mainly because the hair flip.

Outside of the early THQ games on 64, the Smackdown vs. Raw franchise was the best. It had an arcade feel to it, but still had some pretty good depth, and the matches and moves were exciting. It was the best WWE game mechanically in my opinion. Not best overall WWE game though, for me that would have to go to No Mercy.

Fucking ridiculous why can't they just give him a normal chokeslam the exact same way he does it irl. The closest they've gotten is 2017-2018 but still off because he doesn't face his opponent when grabbing him, as for the earlier days they're a little over the top but at least he faces them when he grabs them.

Where's WWE 2K18?

The WM2000 and No Mercy games had the best animations. The early smackdown ones were fine when he had hair but after that the animation made no sense and shows how lazy they are with their reused animations, considering how long it took them to change it, let alone to one that didn't suck. The one where that flip over after was fucking awful.

The one from Shut Your Mouth to SVR 2008 was the best. The later chokeslams (except All Stars) are shit.

The Here Comes the Pain is the best animation for me personally. It feels like Kane and looks impactful. SD VS Raw 2010 animation was really bad though. I always hated it and even going back to 2010, I set the original animation back on him. The WWE 2k14 one I'm not sure about because it feels odd. Kane walks forward a bit and the Chokeslam looks weak. I don't like the walk forward either because it feels a bit more awkward to position and seems like it's just to try to make you go closer to the ropes which I hate in moves. I hate it when moves send the opponent really close to the ropes especially for finishers and you always end up having to pull the opponent away from the ropes to pin otherwise it's rope break. It's frustrating. The Eclipse, Sister Abigail 3 and High Cross are the worst for it. I also really don't like the catching Chokeslam. I don't get why out of all of the Chokeslam animations to use, they chose Big Show's old one which no one uses and Big Show doesn't do that much. I like the throat grab but that's it. It feels more like Kane than the walk. I watched a video of his ultimate Chokeslams and the best one for me was the X-Pac one where X-Pac went on a knee during the throat grab which made Kane seem more powerful and dominating and the Chokeslam itself looked devastating.
