As of now It's impossible to add custom announcer names for this game.(Untill a tool is created)As the announcers themselves will have to literally manually say the characters name. As per hardy boys sure once I bet the system down I'll add that tutorial ^^

yes its normal youre using a "mod" to try to edit a wrestler the game doesn't recognize

Double check the apollo crews folder it may be missing a file due to the creator

@@ChibagamingJP Use him as a playable character, his gfx, entrance and moveset. There are a ton of Goldberg mods out there and I don't know which is the most suitable one.

No , but if you see your mod in cakeview but not in game make sure your folders are correctly labeled and files are where they need to be

@@ChibagamingJP nah I've tried that multiple times before undoing and redoing it unfortunately I'm about to head off to work so I'll try it from the top later on tonight so I don't rush it.

You don't have to bake the characters folder, so for example. Wwe2k24/mods/baked/wrestlers/character. Then place the character that you want in the wrestlers/characters folder then load up cakeview from cakeview enter target name make Target name as "wrestlers" and bake. So make sure that the games directory is set as Wwe2k24 exe

@@ChibagamingJP What do you mean by making sure that the game's directory is set to the 2K24 exe? Also, does it actually matter what name Caketools gives to the baked file?

The cakeview has to recognize the directory and exe of wwe2k24

@@ChibagamingJP I have it set to know the executable path, when I open the menu setting to view the path it correctly points to the game's exe. Is that what you mean? I might be confused about where the baked cak file is supposed to go. My most recent setup is (game directory) / mods / 2K24 / Characters / the Shelton Benjamin mod. If I try to bake the Characters folder it creates the cak file alongside the Characters folder. If I try to bake the 2K24 folder it creates the cak file alongside the 2K24 folder. If I pull all the way back and bake the mods folder it creates the cak file alongside the mods folder. None of these have worked. The baked cak that gets created isn't supposed to be put in the root directory is it?

So the karrion Kross folder will have a "duplicate" in the folder double click to open and take that file and place that in your characters folder. So it'll be 📁karrion Kross/karrion Kross

You can just use WWE 2k24 face capture for that it's actually a whole lot easier

make sure your wwe2k24 exe is correctly directed to cakeview

You will need SDB editor but I don't think the editor is available as of yet

Im on Linux/steamdeck not windows. I can’t figure out where I could have gone wrong.

I'd delete the folder and start over. Just a tip make sure your directory is correctly set

So here’s what I did. -i downloaded cake view and cakehook -I extract them. I put the dinputdll and plug-ins folder in the root of my 2k24 folder -I set my directory in cakeview to the 2k24 exe -I create a ‘mods’ folder in root of 2k24 -I add some downloads from pwmods to 2k24 > mods > baked > wrestlers > Characters - folders with files from pwmods are called eg 625_Apollo_Crews_2019 -I bake the wrestlers folder so there’s a file called wrestlers.cak in 2k24 > mods I load the game and nothing at all happens. I’m sorry this is the first time I’ve ever tried modding a 2k game and I have no idea where I have gone wrong.

@user-ci4rz6yd1b you did everything correctly except the final step . When you're baking make sure the target name is typed as wrestlers.

@@ChibagamingJP No, you didn't mention in the video that we should put the plugins folder snd dinput8.dll in the directory in order for these mods to work.

The file names were correct as well as the files used for modding. It worked after I did that

Then create a folder called mods on that folder create a folder named baked in that folder create a folder called wrestlers in that folder create a folder called characters Download a modded wrestler take that nodded wrestler file and drag and drop it into the characters portion of that wrestlers folder Load up cakeviews In cake views set the target as the WWE 2k24 main directory In the target name type "wrestlers " Then bake
