That Drew segment was great for one reason. He also went after Seth, who would've been gladly on his side since he's going against Punk.

WWE hasn't changed much as you're giving HHH credit for. Still have the same round robin of champions. But then why did he let Bronson stand tall at the end if he originally came out to get his revenge on Bronson?... Really, I don't know. It probably just didn't make much sense, I guess

Pete forgot the best part of that Chad/Bodas segment. After the Creed Brothers let go of Bo, he crawled into the corner, Gabel got his face and started screaming at him. Asking what he was laughing at? Bo just looked at him and said “there you are”. I don’t know why that got me. The idea that this is the gable that he was looking for.

A lot of that name/trademark info is bogus. Warrior and Ryback used those names before WWF/E. WWF lost everything to Warrior in court for that reason alone, minus Ultimate Warrior. A legal name change would let them file taxes under those names, but still wouldn't allow them to use the name commercially otherwise. Cody *probably* could have used Rhodes if he wanted to. WWE does not own the rights to "Rhodes" as a wrestling surname, but "Cody Rhodes" as a single mark. Given the family name and his own legal name change at like 18, it actually would have been novel case law if he and Vince pushed it that far.

Really sad to see Rowan talk about how he's the last man standing from the original Wyatt Family.

I have serious doubts that the last time Flair heard from AEW was when he made that pitch. They had to tell him the creative plan for the match once they fully decided, and on top of that, he ya know… was at Revolution so he had ample opportunity to speak to people if he really wanted

Gunther vs Priest is pretty much the same story they did many years ago with Triple H and Booker T. And CM Punk just feels like the heel in this storyline with Drew. I mean why should Drew apologize to the refs and pierce when Punk started all this, much like he did in AEW. I seriously hope Drew puts him on the shelf permanently this time.

I don't think Mami YEET is going to pan out well. Then again, when Jey joined #RAW, Mami categorically stated (while Judgement Day were feuding with Sami and Kevin) "My doors will remain open to Jey Uso".

I get how some people may not like the "living on the streets is a choice" line, but that's how many privileged people actually see it. Considering that they're going with the gifted vs hard work narrative, it's a perfect line to try to get the desired heat they need for this feud. I still expect Gunther to win, but I wouldn't be opposed to Priest retaining. Gunther having to start over, win the Rumble and being crowned at Mania might be better for him. His character is already great, but adding some adversity could take him to another level

IMO they should have had Rowan’s interview sitting across from Uncle Howdy, the same way Bo’s was. Then when he looked at the sheep mask Uncle Howdy could have said “There you are” the same way he did to Bo and the same way Bo did to Chad.

Dom should keep losing when Rhea is there and winning when Liv manages to help him. So at Summerslam he will try to help Rea but with that, screwing her over. Liv will be more grateful with Dom and Rea more pissed off. So Liv will get more and more power with Dom, making him winning matches and taking him more and more away from Mami.

While the individual interviews for the wyatt sicks have been good, I just can't take them seriously with their magical appearance nonsense. These wrestlers have a real heartfelt reason to get revenge. But this gimmick is forcing it into the dumbest lease sustainable form. I'm genuinely worried for the first real matches

The Wyatt Sicks VHS promos are way better than I expected them to be, mixing the spooky stuff with such heavy IRL material could have come off as being super tacky but they're really nailing it. Kinda hoping the Dexter Lumis one is just him staring silently at the camera for 2 minutes 😐

That VHS tape was emotional enough, but when they came out towards the end of the show to confront Chad Gable (aka Kurt Angle Lite without the charisma), I got goose bumps. This Wyatt angle has the potential to be one of the most powerful in WWE history, presuming it's done right.

2:59 I'm not sure where else AEW could go in DFW or Arlington, unless they're planning to stage their "stadium" show at Globe Life Field (home of MLB's Texas Rangers), which is a retractable roof venue. The venue AEW is using in Arlington is an "e-sports" arena which is owned by the City of Arlington and, unless I'm misremembering, I thought they staged some shows at the University of Texas-Arlington's arena in the past as well.

HHH understood the assignment and succeeded this week. Good drama

I have to admit this episode of Raw is the first time in the entire title run of Damian Priest where I have actually seen what WWE has been seeing in him. Usually I think he’s an okay wrestler with some not very good or interesting promos, and while I don’t think his match was very good I think between him getting to show a lot of personality beyond grumpy serious leader man with all the Rhea and Dom stuff and actually showing some real fire during the Gunther promo I think it’s clear if he can do more of that kind of stuff he’ll really come into his own as a legit top level guy.

I am calling this now if they do Drew VS Seth at Summerslam now I have a feeling the crowd will turn on the match. They will realize it is just filler and messes the story up potentially. Drew should not want anything besides Punk logically at the moment, especially as Seth is not even the current champion so hard to make much logical sense with 2 weeks left to build a rivalry. If they do Seth and Drew and Cm Punk interferes then I will turn it off as how many months in a row can we get the identical same thing? Like my 2k24 game would tell me in GM Mode this Rivalry is growing stale as is Romans extended vacation starting to come off a bit entitled. The dude has limited years at his prime and he chooses to sit out more than compete even when he is present. I aways respected Seth and his recent run as champion because being present and wrestling and most of all actually wanting to be their is the passion I can feel. Roman feels like he does it for a check and thinks he is above it or something and shows up as little as possible. Makes sense he is Rocks Cousin in that regards.
