WWF Superstars (Arcade) Playthrough longplay retro video game

WWF Superstars is an arcade game manufactured by Technōs Japan and released in 1989. It is the first WWF arcade game to be released. A series of unrelated games with the same title were released by LJN for the original Game Boy. Technōs followed the game with the release of WWF WrestleFest in 1991.

This game had the most INSANE graphics, audio, and gameplay for its time. Playing this in the arcade was the best thing ever, especially with 4 players.

My strategy was to pick Savage and Big Boss Man. Savage because he does flying clotheslines and Big Boss because he’s the one player that slams you when trying to do flying clotheslines. I.e. I liked playing as Savage, and I disliked versing Big Boss.

@@Alex-gw7of You just move your wrestler to the bottom ropes and he'll leave the ring. This game gives you 20 seconds out of the ring before you're counted out. But to reset it, you just move your wrestler in and out of the ring again. This is the only safe method of fighting Andre or Ted DiBiase.

And if Andre does get tagged, do all your fighting out of the ring and wear him down until he tags again. Then do the same for Dibiase and try and get him counted out.

Wrestlefest was the sequel released in 1991 and it was better.

I prefer this to Wrestlefest. There is more strategy to this - or at least I had the strategy all worked out. Wrestlefest just seemed to be about mashing the buttons and pumping in more money.

Someone combined the two and made it so you can choose Hogan, Warrior, Andre, Savage and Boss Man in addition to the Dragons to beat up all the baddies in Double Dragon. There's videos of them on KZfaq.

@@RyanMcCooe It's pretty easy to find emulation systems online, Pandora's Box is and example. I have this game on an original Xbox. You can find reviews for various emulators on KZfaq from gaming channels.
