WWII Bomber Flybys (B-29/B-17/B-25) - Spirit of St Louis Airshow 2016

Several WWII bombers perform flybys at the 2016 Spirit of St Louis Airshow and STEM Expo in Chesterfield, Missouri. The aircraft are the B-29 Superfortress "FIFI", the B-17 Flying Fortress "Texas Raiders", and the B-25 Mitchell "Show Me".
"Show Me" is owned by the Commemorative Air Force's Missouri Wing: www.cafmo.org/

They’re all beautiful but I will always love “Show Me” in particular. There’s just something special about the girl you grew up with.

This was a great show. Just looking inside these old bombers just made me that much more proud and impressed by what our troops went through in world war II. I tried to imagine being at 10,000 feet over Germany with ground fire and fighters coming at you in one of those things. Amazing what they did!!!

Such beautiful music. Jets don't compare at all or come even close. You have to see these in person to hear the real true sounds of these birds as film doesn't capture it accurately.

Imagine what it must’ve been like seeing dozens, if not hundreds of these bombers taking off for a mission, not knowing how many of them will make it back.
