For a challenge I took the SU-57, a WWII truck with an anti-tank cannon, and put it up against top tier tanks in War Thunder. It did not go well, but it also didn't go terribly.

Attempt number 9 at getting Spookston to play any tank with a dozer blade, the catch is he can’t engage until he digs himself in. Movement around the map is allowed, but he has to dig in again before engaging.

Btw for the Mig-29 segment on Alaska the R-27 is not like the Sparrow when it comes to losing lock. It will keep flying towards the last position it received from radar instead of self-destructing and if lock is reacquired it will immediately adjust back on course.

On mozdok radar lock was kept through the dogfight due to the spiral nature of the turn. On Alaska the enemy notched and Spookton locked and shot at a completely different guy@@collander7766

The sad reality is that I guarantee the missile doesn't do that IRL. Though then again Gajin allows Russian missiles to do 180s off the rails.

14:44 it is actually "special", R27ER has datalink so even if the missile loses lock it will continue using inertial guidance and/or if it gets TWS data from the radar, using datalink. So once you relock the missile will work again because thats what it is designed to do. It is the only fox1 in game to do that.

@@713bigounce neither of those have datalink, they use radar returns like all fox1 and INS (inertial navigation system) in case of loss of track, however if the track is not regained the missile will self destruct and without a proper track the missile is simply guiding based on last known inertia/position so its not actively tracking... R27ER has inertial navigation but it also had datalink which is where the aircraft sends the data it sees (the mother aircraft) and the missile is actively guiding based on that, however this data is not precise enough for a proper intercept so you need to do an STT (single target track) lock in order for the missile itself to actually see the target so it intercepts it The only other missile to have that to my knowledge is the aim54 but it works a bit differently as it is a fox 3 not fox 1

Similar concept, but you should try bringing out the Puma (3.3 one, as well as the autocannon and howitzer ones) to the modern PUMAs BR and see how that goes :)

I'd love to see you take an entirely Sherman lineup (exact composition up to you) to the highest BR you can manage and seeing how well you can do. After all, the M4 is all you need :^)

Kv2 zis 6 and SU100Y is very good at doing this too. High pen, high angle performance and absolute one shot if you pen the side. Bt7-F32 and Su85 are also honourable mentions.

in regards to King Tiger at top tier, you could do the Hyperborean war in Neuschwabenland lineup (Tiger II Sla.16 / Tiger II H, Horton 229, Me 262 C-1a / C-2b, Jagdtiger, Panther II if you have it etc)

I think you have a few neat video ideas already in there. The King Tiger at top tier might be something. Though I think showing off just how good the Chaffee is might also be good. Start at its own BR, then go up one step per kill. So if you get 6 kills in your first match, you'd go from 3.7 to 5.7. Another 4 kills puts you at 7.0 BR. Keep going until you've run out of BRs. Its a hell of a good tank and could function at any BR.

I'm not at top tier yet but I've been playing the Daimler Mk 2 at 8.0 recently and it's been GREAT. It's so mobile, so quiet, and so small (plus excellent depression) that you can really rat out. I'm talking climbing onto rubble and top-attacking vehicles. Plus it instantly kills the hordes of light vehicles with it's two second reload.

Hey spookston you should try the M14/41 premium its 47mm has 69mm of pen and it gets a 13mm mg personally i think its a pretty fun low tier Italian tank
