@awesomestuff121 You are right that Norm's fingers are very dirty. Just in case you think hand-weaving puzzle rings for over 35 years is easy, note how beat up Norm's hands are. And yes, his hands get really dirty when he works. This work is not for folks who are worried about their nails. We can just be glad Norm's been willing to sacrifice his hands to the amazing jewelry that he makes. The world is richer for his commitment.

I bought a "loop" or "Fleur de lis" puzzle ring in December; not the standard ring shown here. My biggest fear was it coming apart. Well it happened today. Even though it's not "standard" your video gave me the missing link other illustrations couldn't convey; namely how to make the figure-8. In short, my ring is back together and safely on my finger. And this video has been added to my favorites...just in case. Thanks!!!

If this video didn't help you, it is likely because your ring isn't a Norman Greene puzzle ring. It will be more difficult to put together a ring that Norm didn't make using this video. You may need to start with a different band on top, and make the band you were holding up before be the one that's hanging.

If your four-band puzzle ring was made by Norman Greene, then the band that has sterling stamped on it should not be hanging. It should be at the very top, when the others are hanging. If your puzzle ring wasn't made by Norm, then you need to ignore the sterling stamp. Here's what you need to do. Find a band such that when you hold it and let the others dangle from it, the two in the middle are each "V" shaped, and you want the points of the "V" facing away from each other.

I got one of your rings at the Dicken's Faire '10. I dropped it yesterday and it came apart :( , can't get it back together. My fig 8 is very irregular and doesn't look symmetrical like yours. The V on your stamped link is very deep. Is the solution the same? If so, I'll be seeing you at the next Faire!
