@@THUGULUS he averaged 4.2ypc and offers very little as a receiving threat. At this point in his career, I’d have him as a 3rd down/goal line back. I don’t think he’s a starter anymore with the versatility of the position how it is today. Unless you’re a guy like Chubb who consistently averages over 5ypc, you have to have versatility in the passing game as a RB. No joke going into next year i’d probably take 15-20 backs over Henry

@@xophxntom first of all, no one watches titans games. Second, of course he put up numbers he had the most carries in the league. Take that into account his numbers aren’t the least bit impressive. He was still about 20th in ypc among qualified RBs, 8th in scrimmage yards and tied for 8th in total TDs. My point was he doesn’t have explosiveness and all the young RBs are also receiving threats. CMC, Hall, cook, Bijan, Kyren, Gibbs etc these guys are running the league at the RB position and can run and catch. Nobody is picking Henry, an old bowling ball that powers up the middle for 4 yards per play over any of these guys I can promise you that. Guys like Chubb, Peterson in his prime, Henry in 2019 could get away with not doing much in the passing game because they were so dominant in the run game. That’s not the case anymore for Henry so you have 20 guys that average more ypc than Henry AND are better receiving threats. It’s not even close

Bro thinks that total rushing yards are all that matter lmao. He had 4.2 yards per carry and was getting force fed the ball because the pass game was led by a rookie QB who was incredibly underdeveloped and had the worst pass blocking in the league. Any RB would put up his counting stats if they had the amount of carries he had, not to mention how poor of a receiving back he is. I don’t get why people are so insistent that he’s still amazing like we’re somehow dissing him. He’s a 30 year old power back, of course he’s slowing down. That’s not disrespectful towards him, it’s just how the position works. Henry is a borderline top 10 back at this point, which is beyond impressive itself given that he’s 30 and has had as many carries as he’s had. It’s more disrespectful tbh to insist that he’s so much better than he is. It’s like insisting that Lebron is still the best player in the league. Appreciate his greatness and his career accomplishments, but pretending he’s still as good as he used to be just serves to degrade how he’s viewed becuase the casual fans make talking about him annoying and make the discourse around him toxic.

RBs are generally the position with the least variance and ease of projection due to them having relatively simple jobs compared to other skill positions. Good RBs are good early and don’t tend to slow down. The 6-8 range is right around where he belongs.
