Years ago, probably 12 or 13, I was a chauffeur and remember picking Cactus up in a stretch Hummer at his house in Franklin, TN. We went to pick up Wynonna in Leiper's Ford and took her to a Christmas party in Nashville I still remember to this day, I hadn't driven her in a year, and she recognized me and hugged me. Cactus was such a gentleman. These people are the real deal. I'm just now seeing this, and it's bringing back so many memories.

Wynonna Judd and the Big Noise played a show this week, here in Carmel, CA. I was an old Judds fan and loved Wy's first solo album, but had gone in a different direction and not kept myself current with her. I just happened on the concert because I am an Uber driver and I picked up a passenger who was going home early from the show and she gave me her ticket and I shot back and saw the last half hour of the show. Sat in row 6 center. I knew nothing about her relationship with Cactus and wasn't quite sure when she introduced him if I was hearing right when she called him "Cactus"..... anyway, she also told the whole story of the crash and his road to recovery. I was amazed at what an energetic and talented drummer he was. He is no longer using a walker. You would never know he had any sort of limitations at all..... Now I am scouring KZfaq and catching up with what has happened with Wynonna the past 10-15 years...... Pretty amazing!

I love Wynonna, she is a voice for women's strength and hope, not only in this with her beloved husband but in her walk in this life! I have watched all the docuseries with her and her mother...she is truly more then a survivor, she is truly a blessing. I wish her and her family long life and happiness, God has sent us glory and grace to hear her voice. I am 65 years old and I can certainly identify with her life and struggles. God bless her today and always.

Ok......I can't stop crying now...probably like anyone watching this. Wow!! You two are SO inspirational and filled with God's Love and Spirit I am overwhelmed. For some reason (thanks God) I've been watching the life of the Judds lately. My sister and I would always sing your songs together.....trying to sound like you all....haha...Actually my sister was an incredible singer and loved people and ententertaining. Talk about a sense of humor. Out of all of my 9 siblings, her and I were like twins. So close. I recently retired military and was so looking forward to being able to hang out with my sister and her family and visiting when I wanted. She and her family were in Arkansas and I moved back to Colorado where I grew up. I was stationed mostly at the Pentagon. I even was the photographer one time when you entertained us at the Pentagon Wynonna.... THANK YOU!! What a loving heart you have...:-) My sister recently passed away from a violent horrible battle with cancer. After her funeral we played all of your songs that were so a part of us and our family. Now to see what you, Cactus, went through and how strong you guys are together....Oh my goodness......I can't stop crying......THANK YOU BOTH FOR YOUR STRENGTH, COURAGE AND SPIRIT FILLED AND HAPPY "ALTITUDE" AS OUR DAD CALLED IT. I believe I can now get through my sisters' death with more meaning. She would love your strength and trust in God's plan and I have to be strong in that. THANK YOU WYNONNA, CACTUS AND MOSTLY GOD IN JESUS' NAME.....AMEN!!!! < Stay blessed!

Cactus is SO right when he said "There are no coincidences." The one thing that is so hard for us to believe, is that we are NOT the master of our own destiny. We are NOT the "Captain" of our ship called Life. EVERYTHING, I MEAN EVERYTHING was scripted by our Heavenly Father long before the worlds were; otherwise,we would NEVER put ourselves WILLINGLY through the fire!! Only the hottest flames can soften the HARDEST metal for the blacksmith to form the finest SWORD. Such a great analogy for His Chosen Few who are now being processed. - Elle - ❤️

Long story short(er) I have to go into rehab and learn how to walk again, man I cannot tell you how are this was, I am now so glad it is all behind me that is but not all the severe nerve damage. I wish they would come to Copenhagen and play. As an American living here 19 years now, I really miss my country music being readily available and these 2, are Gods gift to our ears, eyes, souls and hearts. They would be welcomed in my home to just kick back relax and be treated like regular folks and treated with homemade Danish meals and shown the local sights like other friends and family have received when visiting from The States. God Bless them, their family and may their circle never be broken. Amen

Such a powerful story and so full of love. I think God was teaching all to love more deeply if you know what I mean. Their love bloomed so beautifully and reached places that can't be reached in ease and no discomfort. I say this because I have walked through a lot of trauma myself and I know the depths it has created for me in growing more compassionate toward all and finding all within. I love your beautiful prayers circle also. Love to see your commitment to one and other and your loveliness as humans!!! xoxo And of course also to see you reclaim your joy and your humor. Beautiful!

this is such an amazing story. I Have such a love for the Judd family now and the sad passing of Mama Judd has really helped me with my own daughter and granddaughter. these are patterns of strong women. Namoni is going to now reach so many mother and daughters with difficult relationships and help us work out the unique problems strong women face. I can feel the love from your mother upon my heart and it is something that she is sharing with the world. We Never needed it more than now. She has become an angel of the Lord and all the pain and problems she suffered on earth are gone, She is free to help others and work for Jesus. If she is anything like my mother was she has already tried to re arrange things in heaven just like my mom probably has, she has been gone since 1996. It is amazing because when I need it I can hear her voice strong and clear in my head. They are never far away. All my love to you and your family

This is a incredibly powerful testimony of love. It goes to show how the very essence of how vitally important love is in healing. His "Love" for his wife, her "Love" for him, his "Love" for music, the "Love" for his son, his sons "Love" for him, his "Love" for his band mates and their "Love" for him was the driving point to inspire him to fight. We're made of love, therefore it's a human need and desire to love and be loved for survival. We need it for survival like a flower needs rain. Any kind of compassion we express to anyone, could be the very words they needed at that exact moment that inspired them not to give up, it could very well have saved their life. So let's try every day to extend compassion to each other, we never know what they've been thru, therefore what they're battling with behind their smile. The people's love on day of accident saved his life, the doctors, nurses, etc... Compassion is a form of love. My deepest most heartfelt condolences and love to Wynonna and Ashley on the loss of their dear loving mother Naomi. ❤

Amazing story, Does he have better use of his left hand today? Nearly a year ago my son was in an automobile accident, He broke his neck in 4 places and sustained a spinal cord injury, After 15 hours of surgery he is so fortunate that he is not a paraplegic, but like Cactus he does not have full use of his left hand and he also drags his left leg but is able to walk. He was told if it didnt come back in a year it was a permanent injury. I am going to get him to watch this video for inspiration. Keep up the good fight Cactus.

I'm a neurology PA and I always told people the same thing about neurological injuries (if it doesn't improve in a year, it's permanent.) But I've been proved wrong at least once. The one that stands out was a woman with a severe brain injury who lost her ability to speak or even make eye contact. Her husband decided to take her home from the care facility and worked with her intensively and after about 3 years she was back to talking and seemed like her old self again! So now I believe that nothing is impossible. I definitely think it's worth continuing to keep doing exercises he learns in therapy and keep working on it daily. He may be surprised at what he can regain. 💗

After All He Is The Reason We Are Here, and i THANK HIM EVERY DAY FOR THIS GIFT OF LIFE!! My condolences go out to Wynonna, Cactus and family for their loss of MommaJudd. She too had and will have such a powerful message of love and the constant fight with Depression. I continue to get up and fight depression daily as did my Mom. I do know that The Lords Choir has just gained another Vocal Angel. I can't wait to hear them when my time comes!! May the Lord continue to keep watch over this family. Amen

Wynona, I don't know you, but I love you, I respect the heck out of you, your talent was a gift from God(and your momma) sent to bring joy, fun, and comfort to all who listen. Naomi's death hit me hard because I have been living with the same things for 45 years. I'm so sad that her pain was so great. May she find the peace with God that she couldn't find on earth. Please know, all of her family and friends, her husband, there was not anything you could have done differently, sooner, nothing. I have been to that dark spot and only God and Naomi could do something. So, bless you and Cactus, Ashley, Larry
