I have cameras from wyze,,for out side and inside,,out side are powered by battery,,in doors,it's 110 volt,,they send updates,,easy to upload..

I have six V3 cameras that are amazing and one outside battery camera that is just okay notifications are delayed big time but it's just an extra camera I don't really rely on it.

I read all about short battery life on the outdoor camera, so, I bought the V3 that uses 110V. I wanted to mount it to my garage overhang, but in the process of trying it out, I put it in a front window and it's still there. I have 110 power and don't have to worry about the weather nor somebody deciding to "mess" with it.

@@kodak_jack Put the camera outside and let the camera do what it's supposed to do the night vision is amazing and the regular daytime video and recordings is sharper than any 1080p camera I've ever had.. and don't worry about somebody stealing it it's 35 bucks nobody's going to mess with it anyway

@@pizzadave9812 I have the same system doing the same quality work, but not mounted and powered outside. Running power to it was going to be a big PITA.

@@kodak_jack the only thing I don't like about the outdoor battery camera is notifications are delayed big time and night time detection is not that great. Other than that the picture quality is pretty good and it is kind of nice to move the camera wherever you want to and not worry about plugging it in but nothing beats the V3 cameras they are fantastic I mean for the price you cannot complain..

The outdoors camera's are so slow to trigger, I can watch Deer walk past,and no Deer on the play back,,I bought 2 of these when they first came out,,one wouldn't keep a charge,,charge it up,the battery dies over night,,I just put it back in the box,I'm not dealing with it,,

Robert, the challenge with all battery powered cameras (and solar powered ones as well) is that they have to balance the battery useage. This means they are essentially "sleeping" until motion triggers them and then they start recording. Most take 3-5 seconds to start and you can miss some fast moving objects. They are mostly designed for security since a bad guy can't typically get past them quickly enough to avoid detection. If you want instant recording you'll have to go with a camera that's constantly powered so it's always on and ready to record. The Wyze cameras are the best of the battery powered models I've tested and use them all over my home to keep an eye on things.
