Not gonna lie, I literally cried when Little Mix (Rythmix) made it. You could see their lives had meaning just then. And they realized how much they needed it and each other. I loved GirlvBoy chemistry but at least they got each other. As Jesy said, the girls got a "no" twice already, they had nothing but this last chance. Their confidence was already low and all the potential would've been lost. I LOVE that Tulisa saw it, and that she actually is a part of the groups and not just their mentor.

This was the most unfair judges houses results ever! So many good singers were sent home so that they could put the jokes trhough.

Louis has worst decisions really. I get that he's going for "fun", but he keeps choosing people without any chance and dropping those who could go far in the competition.

Frankie is an average singer. Why they kept him in this episode is beyond me. I though they were looking for someone who could sell records, and, lets be honest, Frankie does not have a recording voice.

Alright, so here's my opinion on the judge's choices. I haven't ever seen X Factor before and since everyone around me was raving about it, i decided to give it a go (and it was by complete coincidence that I picked the season which Little Mix happened to be on) and here's why I think the judges picked who they picked. For Gary, I think he picked Frankie because Frankie had everything going for him except an incredible voice. He had the personality and the looks to survive in the industry yet his voice was just decent. However, I think Gary thought that he could teach Frankie, and with the right amount of coaching, his vocal range could increase. For example, let's look at One Direction who were also X Factor contestants. Honestly, their auditions were nothing incredibly special yet now, some of the member's voices have greatly improved as compared to before. Even Little Mix's auditions weren't all that memorable. That's why I think Gary picked Frankie. He would also appeal to the pre-teen/teen audience (but even though I actually liked Frankie, I was SO devastated when John and Joe left! John especially had a beautiful voice! I really felt like Gary should have given him a chance) I was honestly baffled when Louis picked Goldie. I mean, why? I understand that she's entertaining but she cannot sing even a little. At least Frankie has some vocal talent. Sami, on the other hand, could sing gorgeously (So relieved that she came back for the Lives). I think Goldie was just there for the entertainment factor of the show, because like it or not, if something is not entertaining, people will definitely start losing interest. Although, I don't think they should keep the entertainment at the cost of other contestant's futures, especially if they're really good singers such as Carolynne (Her voice was so underrated tbh) and Terry. However, if there is one thing I can't understand, it's Kelly's decision. Can someone please tell me their thoughts on the matter so I can try to understand the thought process behind the decision? I mean, I still LOVE Kelly, she is amazing, but why didn't Jade go through? I absolutely adored her voice! I'm happy about Amelia, Misha and Janet (tbh I find her voice very unqiue and charming, the hiatuses in her voice just add to the captivation, in my personal opinion), and Sophie was nice and in reality, a good singer but I just felt like Jade had so much more potential. She could have been somewhat like Adele but with her own twist to it. I'm overall very satisfied with Tulisa's decision though. Picking "Rhythmix" was a gamble since they hadn't been a group for that long especially compared to the others but it certainly paid off, and they're a huge success now AND they've vocally come together and overall improved their sound. I also liked what she said about Charlie in The Keys since I completely agreed with her, personally. Additionally, I like how she recognized the talent in the groups she sent home and gave those singers a second chance.

I love Little Mix reaction when they are told they got through to live shows! It's amazing how quickly they bonded and even from the very beginning you could see that they were going to be huge!! I think Tulisa made a really great choice to put The Risk together, cause they could really sing and were a far better group than the Keys or the original the Risk.

This show is called x factor. They are looking for more then just the best singer they are also looking for people with that likability factor. So why are so many people surprised when frankie was picked over better singers?

So many of the younger contestants are, to older and seasoned professionals, not at all ready to handle winning or the real demands of a career if they did win. I'm certain this is recognized very early on by the judges, who pass them on from round to round because the real raison d'être of this show is to 'make good television to rake in the big money.' It is a pity it is so at the expense of young talented people who should be handled quite differently, but on this show are so ruthlessly misued -- they're just fodder for the producer's money mill.
