The most underrated band in the world. No wonder Ray Manzarek produced them as their performance is superb.

Just saw them this past Saturday in Highland CA. THEY STILL ROCK! They played Breathless too!

Always loved how Billy Zoom always makes his playing look so easy.

Yes, he never makes the 'I've had a pants-content-related accident' face during solos, and he smiles instead of scowling or muttering to himself. :)

They kicked so much ass. Still do.

Back in the 80;s I loved every one one their records Do I have to prove myself? (Band members: Billy Zoom, Excene Cervenca, John Doe and D. J. Bonebreak

Congratulations, scholar - you spelled Exene's first AND last names wrong, as well as Bonbrake's. "Do I have to prove myself" he says, lol.

I love how Billy Zoom - who spent the early and mid-70s playing in r&b and funk bands because rock got too "hippy-ish" - starts playing along with the Parliament song the Letterman band kicks into at the end of the clip.

These guys, Husker Du, the Minutemen et.al. remind me so much of college. Wonder why they never made it big (lack of label support?). Seriously, though, how fucking tall was Billy Zoom? He's noticeably taller than Letterman, and Letterman was like 6'2, 6'3...

The first 'punk' band, before 'punk' became three chords.

Willian Zoom is standing w/ legs far far apart because he is 7'2" & didnt want to look like a freak.

Ironically, it's 'Exene Cervenka'.

I wish they'd done just about any other song of the record. "Devil Doll" with the interpolated verse from "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues"? "I See Red"? "True Love"? Yeah, those would have been great.

I knew I wasn't alone. Hot House isn't a bad song but hardly the best, most exciting song on that album. Anything off side one would've done.

Watch him play, oh obtuse one. Very little extra or wasted motion. Not a flashy player. He's Zen. But he could peel the paint off the back of the venue. Capisce?

You don't have to prove yourself, but maybe you'd better get out those records you've had since the 80s and check the spelling of their names LOL it's Exene Cervenka and D.J. Bonebrake
