I was there. I and a friend went from the UK via a J-rock tour group which gathered a few dozen fans from America and elsewhere to see these three shows. Being there in person on those three nights was like existing in a piece of reality had been severed from the world. I have never, before or since, experienced anything like the connection and pure emotional meaning that almost physically existed in that space, not ever. This moment, 60,000 people taking the song and carrying it... an incredible, ineffable, trascendent moment that I will never forget. There was no distinction between band and audience in this moment. The walls seperating 60,000 people from one another, seperating the stage from the crowd ceased to exist. Everyone sang that song to themselves, to each other, and to the band. That piece of time belonged to every person there. I wish I had the words to express it better. There's really nothing like X-Japan.

Today is the 25th anniversary of Hide's death. Looking back at moments like these humbles me. His death was a tragedy for not just Japan but J-rock fans everywhere. 25 years later, his memory lives on in his loved ones. He lives on in X-Japan's history and in us, his fans. No matter how much time passes there will always be people who remember him and mourn him.

Xの曲を聴く時今までになかったことなのですが、ベースの音に耳を傾けるようにようになりました。気付かせてくれたheathに感謝。 女性ベースを歌っていますが、つられるなんて嘆かないで他のパートを支えるように生かすように歌っていこうと思います。 古希を迎えて、あと何年ゴスペルを歌えるかわからないけれど、心を合わせて良いサウンドを作っていきます。

Must be so terribly hard to sing that when the last time was hide's funeral. As hard as it is for us to watch. My heart goes out to them, they are strong. This song so beautiful.

What really gets me isn't his voice breaking or the fans singing for him. It's the fact that even though he's clearly hurting, he's still singing the song with all his heart.

So, so sad to witness the raw pain Toshi and the others were experiencing during this live performance. Losing Hide, especially given the unexpected and extremely tragic way that he died, literally broke their hearts. It must have taken so much courage and strength for Toshi to sing this song, knowing he would be unable to control his emotions or his tears. It's so touching how the audience joined in and helped him finish the song. X Japan has the most dedicated, awesome fans !!

This is my first time crying to a song... I'm from Myanmar (Burma) and I don't understand japanese at all..... but the crowd... their voice... Toshi's cracking voice and most of all hide.....I can't help but feel goosebumps and cries...

A long time ago, my favorite...X - Japan's best song... It's been a long time, but it's still It makes my heart beat...

I thought this was the saddest version... until Yoshiki opened his Classical Tour performance in San Francisco with what had to be the shortest and saddest version of Forever Love.

Found out that this is they first time perform Forever Love after the last time (Hide funeral 1998) I was more touch and cant stop ma tears from pouring. But good job to Toshi even he in difficult situation to sing this song but he still doing it perfectly. And as Pata and Heath, they will always forever be calm and relax as hell. Haha. Its hard to see them emotional on stage, even at their Last Live 1997. ^_^

Two reasons why he's crying: 1. Apparently as said in the comics, this was the first time he performed "Forever Love" since 1998 (aka Hide's funeral). 2. Remembering how much he misses his band mates due to being in a cult that told him being in the band was ruining his life god hug this man

Nah, you're not a wimp, this actually made me cry the first few times I heard it, and even now still brings tears to my eyes and I've seen it many times.

This song was dedicated to hide.. It reminds him of hide.

the audience literally helping him through this song, his bandmates keeping their composure, it just warms my heart and brings me to tears, this was beautiful, and Toshi is so strong for this. Hide was there with him

Sadly I only discovered X-Japan after Hide's passing. I never felt so sad for a man I've never met but I know his music so it like I knew a piece of his soul before it went on that will go on forever. Great now I miss HIDE and MJ. I'm going to go cry now.

I remembered this song from when I was still in college. Leaving Japan in 2008, going back home, and parting with my Japanese friends, I cried so much with this song. And now I cried watching this 9 years later. This song brought back so many college memories. Friendship, Love, Youthful Life. Legendary X-Japan.
