Cyclops using his optic beams to electric slide all over the battlefield is the single greatest scene Marvel has ever animated! If they don't find cool ways like that for all the X-Men to use their powers once they introduce them in live action, they will have failed.

The first 2 episodes were incredible i Absolutely loved this season premiere remembers growing up with the original series in the 90s as kids so nostalgia love the color action sequence, the fluid motions its all flow so well while adding more maturity, and modernity im looking forward to seeing how the rest of this season plays out.

Madelyne Pryor is the one thats pregnant with Cable like the comics. Nathaniel Essex's handy work and he is obsessed with Scott and Jean because he wants to create the perfect mutant by combining their DNAs. He is especially interested in Jeans since the Phoenix force possessed her unleashing the darkness in her so he wants to have, control that power by creating a doppelganger look-alike of sorts.

I made sure this played on my 65" Oled cause its the only screen in my living room. I parked my butt on the carpet with a bowl of cereal and let myself drift back to the 90's! I really liked Cyclops, and didn't care for him as a kid. I am so happy that the show that got me into the X-Men comics back when is back and in the limelight. Also, Rogue, you're totally worth the risk of being put into a coma Chere.

I like how in the end of X-Men in 1997, Professor X reaches out to the Shiar Empire and now we are watching the show X-Men 97 and the Shiar Empire was introduced in X-Men #97 in 1976.

They not only brought back a classic but they made it even better! This show is so good. It makes me happy for Cyclops to really look like a leader. No disrespect to X-MEN TAS but all they had him doing on that show was crying over Jean. Here in ‘97, he feels like a real leader and a badass. This is going to be a fun ride!

The first 2 episodes were incredible!!! I absolutely loved this season premiere kick-off! I wasn't born in the '90s but my father kept a bunch of VHS tapes with a lot of the old X-Men: The Animated Series episodes on them and I grew up rewatching those same episodes as a kid. The action was fantastic, and I'm really digging the new animation style for the show. I just binged the entire original series, and I gotta say that this is a significant step up in terms of animation quality, of course. All the characters are just as charismatic as they were in the previous series, if not even more so. Hearing some of the classic voices return for their roles in this Revival series is so heartwarming and nostalgic. I'm also really digging the new blood when it comes to the new additions to the voice cast. The new voices for Gambit, Scott Summers, and Jubilee specifically sound really great and worthy successors to the original voice actors. I'm really loving what they're setting up for the overarching story of the season. I can't wait to move on to the next batch of episodes as soon as they release. Everything feels like a significant step up to a lot of the great things from the original show and this is clear proof that the people who worked on the show are true X-Men fans in grew up watching the original animated series. Ultimately, though, this awesome premier batch of episodes really reminded me how much I missed the X-Men as a family. It's been awhile since I really delve into the world of the X-Men like this and honestly I'm glad the show came out to reunite the fire I have for the X-Men that's some of the old fox movies might have dampered a little bit. Marvel's/The MCU's first crack at the X-Men was done masterfully, in my opinion, and I can't wait to see more! 10/10 Premiere for this show! 🎆✨️🙌

Scott's powers have always defied both description and physics! Sometimes the eyebeams are heat, sometimes percussive force, but there is never a recoil as in real physics like with a high-pressure firehose. He uses it to slow down here but his head has never beenpushed backwards by his shots before. He hath a truly mighty spine, this one!

Thank you for giving cyclops cool skills. The only issue I had with the series so far just a weird sequence through the opening intro like at the dead end when they show the two teams and the ring towards each other it looks like the X-Men are sort of running in a circle towards the villains lol.

I am probably the most excited for Mr. Sinister's update and his mutant team's upgraded look. Definitely hit me in the member-berries. The only thing I missed was the harmonica that always followed Bishop's introduction or one-liners. Btw, what is bishop doing there anyways? Doesn't he only show up when Forge sends him back to solve some future problem. I wonder if they will explain why he is staying there. Also, the guy in the white armor in the intro is that Avalanche guy that hung out with Pyro all the time.

The version of the Thing that appears in the Marvel animation logo is from Fantastic Four '78, not the '67 version (which was produced by Hanna-Barbera). You can briefly see '78 H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot as well.

Cyclops using his eye beams to propel himself around the battlefield is something he never did in the original series. It was cool and unexpected.

After attending numerous panels over the last few years, I am so happy to finally see this series come to fruition. So many Easter Eggs and call backs to the original XMENTAS. Love the new look and long hair on Magneto. Love the use of Morph so that we can see more characters. Also, if not already mentioned, Beast was reading Animal Farm in the original series when he was in jail. Best shot for me was that birthday appears in the episode, even though it was on the death certificate.

The animation for Storm's scene was very well done. It felt like anime kind of animation with how they made the weather look. Even with the Cyclops decent in the desert was super creative. Amazing start to the season!!

I don't remember even reading or hearing "to me my X-Men" until the cartoon started. I remember Gyrich as the misc. gov't agent that tried to be the liaison with the Avengers and limit their membership.

I'm actually curious if they'll bring back more of the original New Mutants cast. I think I remember Warlock showing up in one of the OG episodes alongside Forge, but that still leaves Cannonball, Karma, Mirage, Wolfsbane, Magma, Cypher, Magik, and BoomBoom off the top of my head

I'm sure someone has brought this up, I think the intention is that the people in the middle during the intro aren't meant to be mutants, but are meant to humans who are metaphorically caught between the X-men and The Brotherhood, with the Sentinels causing collateral damage looking for the mutants

Finally finished re-watching the original series before starting this one. Episode 1 was everything I hoped it would be. Excellent continuity, better scripting, vastly improved editing and graphics. I LOVED IT!!! If all episodes are on this level, or better, this will be an instant-favourite show!!! Bravo. Well done!
