Not many did you see Uatu the Watcher up in the sky before you get to see the gala that happens there, does this mean that this is a fixed point in time that cannot be changed? Seeing Cabel's eyes realizing that the woman in front of him is his mother was powerful for me and I can't believe they used the Wild Sentinels from the story arc from E for Extinction, this really brought tears to my eyes.

Honestly now that I think about it, when Professor X told Gambit: "How often must the scoundrel prove himself as a hero before he believes it himself." This is what he meant, Gambit went down as an ultimate superhero by saving the remaining survivors on Genosha and Rogue of course. If that's not the way the cajun should go out then I don't know what is.

This was better than infinity war. This might’ve been the best 30 minutes of tv I’ve seen in ever. This was a finale in the middle of the season. All these events stacked on top of each other. You feel for each character. The writers flipped us on our heads. I feel unsafe. I’m dealing with other things in life and this episode allowed me to escape. I feel rouges pain. The character of Gambit is in another stratosphere for me now. The fact that wolverine and jean kissing isn’t the biggest part of this show or Pryor and Cyclops isn’t or cable appearing. I hope the team that put this together feels so proud of their work. Whoever green lit project. The director that was fired. The voice actors. The animators. The apprentice who’s getting everyone’s coffee order. Everyone, thank you for your hard work. This was a dream that took 3 decades to come true. Thank you

They open up the multiverse in the Season Finale, but the cliffhanger at the end of the season is Logan getting pulled into a time portal, but gets stuck in the Void. This leads directly into Deadpool 3, where we get to see the Logan from X-Men ‘97

Happy Nation is among my favs for this band. I recognized the latin words on Madelyne's premonition on previous episode. In the comments for another video someone mentioned something that I will parrot here. In chess, a gambit is a sacrifice meant to save or advance the queen. Gambit’s death, in that context, felt so fitting.

I find it ironic that in this series Gambit saves the Morlocks, in the comics Gambit actually helped Mr. Sinister compose the crew that would go down and murder the Morlocks which led to the Mutant Massacre story arc.

In the comics he didn't know what they were planning. He got paid (or forced to, I don't remember which) to leqr a group through the tunnels, he didn't knew it lead to the morlocks hideaway. Once he realized what was happening he tried to stop it but sabertooth was there and got him mauled, he could barely save a girl as he was running away. But yes, it is ironic that Gambit is the one saving the morlocks when in another reality he was part of the reason they got killed.

@@user-ln2wd7rm1q Well, the psychic affair is from earlier in Morison's run (with Emma. Which makes her reaction to it very nice), and you could argue that having the tragedy happens during (essentially) the first hellfire gala reference both "hellfire gala" and "fall of X". And, in spirit, the tour of Genosha reminded me of "House of X", especially the end of it. Plus Rogue backstory reference her savage land storyline, etc... But no one is disputing that this is above all "E is for extinction" I think. Such well done condensing of different storylines while staying true to the essence of the characters from x-men TAS is a mark of a great adaptation. (I'd say Magneto's character suffer most from the "love triangles" shenanigans, for having hooked up with Rogue when she was so young, and him so "old" already).

@@abadyr_ X-Men was created in what, the late 60s, 70s? Magneto was at least 10 in 1945, probably older (somewhere between 10 and 15 I estimate). Rogue is at max in her late 20s or early 30s here, and it is probably still the 90s. Magneto is probably at least 30 years older than Rogue. On a side note, he seems to age extremely well in nearly every version except the first live action X-Men movies lol.

@@abadyr_ speaking of age, wolverine isn't the only one who doesn't age normally. Mystique and Destiny were both around in Victorian England, and there is also a comic story where both wolverine and mystique were in the wild West. To be honest though, wolverine and mystique are probably the only ones whose age and appearance make sense ironically. Comic characters in general have weird age situations. In harry Potter, there is actual lore that wizards and witches are a subspecies of human that age slower than baseline humans. In comics, some characters do have explanations for their weird ages (captain America was both frozen, aged, and de-aged in addition to having the supersoldier formula; nick fury has the infinite serum; some characters have regenerative abilities like wolverine, Superman doesn't age normally, Batman has had some weird stuff happen to him; etc) but not all characters. Also I'm confused about Moira: did she simply reincarnate when she died or she go back in time to the first time she was born, because she seemed to do both (first time she simply reincarnated, but then once she was in the current time she seemed to relive the same time each time she died).

He was physically and emotionally abusive, he had this only fan account showing his dick, and he was a writer on the witcher and they fired him for the same reason so he doesn't learn. On twitter when he was fired from X men former coworkers were hinting at him being a POS, and basically saying good riddance. He's very good at writing and maybe he though he was untouchable. Good thing is he already (well marvel also) have finished season 2, they are just waiting for a release date, and he did a bit of season 3.

This was definitely an emotional heavy episode. We are just in episode 5 and man this was wild. Plus if you remembered all the way back in the first episode, Madelyn had seen this while she was tapping into Gyrich’s mind she just wasn’t aware of when. Also fun fact, the former voice for Gambit now voices Cable so man this was absolutely nuts. Well watching the struggles of the X-men isn’t over as we are now going for Lifedeath Part 2 over with Storm. By the time she’s done with that, she’s gonna have the most heartbreaking return.

caught that 9/11 easter egg on my 2nd rewatch people still didn't notice, but I did... when they were all watching TV at the end and beast says oh my.. that helpless feeling is how we all felt while watching everything go down on 9/11 on TV.. what's even crazier I caught that Easter egg because of how I felt but also they visually did it if you watch there are 2 smoke piles rising on TV like the twin towers. RIP .l but yeah, this shows getting an Emmy for sure

Rogue and Magneto’s dance saved Gambit’s life (I.e. because of it, he left the gala) so that he could in turn give his life to save the rest of Genosha. So many twists in this thing!

I have a theory…comic book readers may know what I am getting at. Originally the cause for the mass genocide is Cassandra Nova, but when Cable came in he said “he is coming”. Now there is another thing with Cassandra Nova where she switched beings with Xavier right before getting shot and when the trigger was pulled it was Charles that was shot and not Cassandra. I know they said Charles is dead already but I’m wondering if “he” is referring to a Cassandra nova hosted Charles.

This episode is based off of E for Extinction. Cassandra Nova was to blame for this. Cable showing up and the introduction of Wild Sentinels confirms this was an alternate timeline. So Gambit most likely will be back at some point.

Scott did appear to lie to the reporter. She’s trying to show Scott is a happy husband and father like anyone else. She mentions she saw they had a kid. Scott says no. Reporter is confused. Scott says the doctor called his kid a freak. She genuinely asks why lie after he appeared to immediately contradict himself. And Scott explodes. She didn’t know he wasn’t exactly a happy husband and father like he appeared to be at the moment. As Beast put it, “Oh dear.”

This episode was intense n mind blowing!!! loved it! My guess on Magneto......Erg, the mutant with "Guile" hairstyle and an eye-patch, he has the ability to absorb energy that's including energy blast, like Bishop, and channel that energy back if wanted too, through his eye with the eye-patch....he absorb the Wild Sentinel beam blast and Leech turn off everyone's mutant powers right after so the Wild Sentinel couldn't detect them anymore and thought they were eliminated...Magneto is still alive.
