I really admire your appreciation for these well loved books. I'm always bored to death with these guys that go on and on about their mint books. Your enthusiasm for the wonder of the stories and art and the men who made it is what comics magic is all about. The silver age was so beautiful and visionary in its technical and esthetic conception of comics art. The Marvel covers were an era equivalent to the French impressionist painting and the Jazz and beat movements. Truly wondrous and dynamic.

azimovist thanks for the words. When I hold these and look at them I feel flooded with the history of each book. I wonder who created them and the stories. I wonder about the people who have read these exact copies. It's pretty fantastic. Comics were meant to be read, guitars were meant to be played. Mint is great for both, but I enjoy all levels of condition. Thanks again.

Seriously though, huge congrats. I can't imagine ever having this run as late as I'm getting into it. Hell of an investment but you'll never wanna sell it!

There's something magical about putting together a bunch of books in numerical order, each one of those books a "key" in the puzzle of 1-66. Very well done! There's a special place in comic book heaven for heavy metal completists.

Absolutely wonderful, Alex. When I started collecting, I was an Xmen fan and I dreamed of having an entire run. Almost there and seeing your collection inspires me. Some great stories and covers from that era!

Just started collecting X Men books and keys as my Savage She Hulk run is just missing a couple dollar books. Am knocking off the Keys slowly but nothing too major yet. I must say that #50 is my favourite cover of all time! Great collection and it’s good to see you don’t care about condition and care about the book more than the investment purposes. Best channel I’ve found by far!

Fantastic run and of course I'm a little envious. I retired from collecting in 2007 (as if there's such a thing). However, I still enjoy re-reading the stories. So for the sake of memories I purchased this entire run in TPB (issues 1-31) along with an OMNIBUS (issues 32-66).

Nice collection, I really want to have this run in my collection one day. That #1 is not too shabby, looks very presentable. I have considered selling off some run filler to try to get a #1 myself but I love all the comics I have too much lol. One day.

Wow! Great run and the condition of even your early books is excellent. That # 5 and # 20 in particular have really great colors. And your # 11 which has the best cover is in really good shape!

ComicHaulics Channel thanks guys! This is my ultimate grail run. I've wanted this for years and almost had it once before. Had to sell my entire collection when my youngest was having medical issues. But family first. Now I'm way more financially stable and have the books back!

Thimothe Canadian Comic Hunter oh man that's a good question. Honestly, it was about $1700 for number 1 alone. $100-200 for some of the keys. So it probably ran me $3,000ish??? Give or take $1009

It's a very cool run and was my grail run growing up. I would suggest looking for something silver age and working on that run. Jack Kirby and Stan lee worked on a lot of runs that are much more affordable like sgt fury or two gun kid. would be great runs to complete and some really great silver age art! but if you really like x-men definitely give it a go.
