Have you tried using dhal (just a normal dhal) to make tofu? If you have not, then this is the recipe for you. You will be surprised like my family when they taste this. It is so simple, it only needs 4 ingredients.
The detailed recipes are like below:
2.5 cups of masoor dhal
2 cups of water
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
Note:
1. After washing the dhal, use only 2 cups of water to blend these dhals into a smooth paste.
2. If you use more water, then you may require to cook it longer while stirring in the wok to evaporate off the water.
3. Addition of black pepper and salt according to taste. Black pepper helps to remove the raw smell from the dhal.
4. When the dhal is almost all dry and becomes sticky in the wok, add a few tbsp of olive oil to make the tofu smooth.
4. Do Not use too much oil, the dhal will not able to solidify after cooling.
