I’ll tell you why it’s called Swiss sauce. Back in the days (1950+) at a restaurant called “tai ping” restaurant,an English man ordered a portion of chicken wings,when it’s arrived,he took a bit and said “Swiss Swiss” the waiter at the time didn’t understand what he was saying,so he told the chef,the customer said “Swiss Swiss” but obviously the customer meant “sweet sweet” So from then onwards the Swiss chicken wings was born.

Sorry for not following your blog till recent. I was at the age with 車仔面 well…. coz of my age I believed. The symbol for this particular noodle was poverty and cheap for my childhood in mid 60’. My parents were not affordable for a regular meal for us (6 infants). I remembered we have to share this noodle for 4 of us and I only taste the last mouth of soup 😢. Oh I am glad that my children’s treated nowadays as “delicious” snack! 🎉😂
