Paranoia by X-Raided & Tech N9ne is an action packed, drama filled adventure that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world after the Great Hip-hop Civil War destroyed every known copy of The Advanced Sickology Book of Rhymes. Holding the key to return Hip-hop to its purest form, X is a nomadic drifter who must fight his way across the country to retrieve the last remaining copy of The Advanced Sickology Book of Rhymes from Tech N9ne in a Strange Land. Tech N9ne guarantees that X will be divinely guided and guarded on his perilous journey as he encounters other people searching for The Advanced Sickology Book of Rhymes in order to destroy Hip-hop for good. In a race against time, X undertakes his mission keenly aware that The Advanced Sickology Book of Rhymes must be protected at all costs.

I wrote this chorus in 1999. It was originally going to be an intro to a song Black Market Records titled “As the World Spins” but I cut it off. I wrote the verse around ‘06. Stashed it. Pulled it out and reconstructed it in 2018 before I came home. I picked the beat in 2018 and parked it. Finally recorded it in 2024 and sent it to Tech and he chopped it to pieces. So… if you think this song shows my growth as an lyricist, then I guess I was pretty good 20 years ago too 😁

Good catch. This producer has been with me for years and is one of my main engineers at Bloc Star. I knew I wanted Tech on this beat even then so I held it and waited. I also had to wait until I got off parole before I turned the energy back up bc I still had a Life Term even on parole and could have been sent back forever. We don’t have to worry about that anymore thooooo 😈
