Notice how Yuriko's eyes change color when Logan injects her with adamantium. It means that the serum's effect just wore off at that very moment and she came back to her conscience again. This whole time she wasn't evil, she was just obeying Stryker.

@@portaladicto yea, it is. Like, she was a silent witness to all the evil she was doing, battled to break free, but couldn't, and at that last moment, when she finally did, it was too late. It was actually pointed out to me, because when I saw this movie as a kid I never understood what that eye color change means.

I think it has been said that the only limit to his teleportation is line of sight or his memory. Basically, If he can see his destination or has been there before. That said the further the distance it becomes a strain.

@2:50, not a devil he just looks that way. He is actually a very devout Catholic (as shown in this movie), a medic and a prankster. In the comics, the X-Men once had to go on a straight up suicide mission to save all mutants. Kurt Wagner aka Nightcrawler was the person on the squad the least worried about death. His only concern was getting the mission done. Because of his faith win or lose he felt he and his teammates would be in a better place even if they wound up perishing. That said being the X-Men they found a way to come back from death...once again. During the 1980's run of the comic the X-men characters died some many times and in some many ways it almost became a running joke in the storyline. Someone would ask "Hey (X-Men character or characters) I thought you died?" to which the reply would come "I did but I got better."

The most subtle and yet amazing thing about the first two xmen movies is that Professor X always narrates at the beginning and the end of the movie .. signifying that he is the most powerful mutant.. then here in X2 a big power shift happened towards the end and Jean ended up narrating in the final scene of the movie which signifies that she has evolved into something more powerful than a mutant..

Nightcrawler is my favorite mutant ever in Marvel. His mother was Mystique and father Was Azazel. Got most of his powers from Azazel and his appearance, his blue color obviously came from Mystique. Natural born acrobat and enhanced balance, intensely religious (Catholic specifically) and can teleport. His teleportation is different than normal because he actually goes to another plane, so when he comes back to our plane it makes the characteristic *BAMF* noise and it smells like sulfur when he teleports. The sulfur smell with his appearance made everyone think he was a devil as a child. That's why as a child he was a circus performer as 'The Incredible Nightcrawler". apologies for nerding out hard on my fav mutant, but i LOVE nightcrawler

@36:26, at this moment in the novel tie-in to this movie one of the President's Secret Service detail fell on the floor screaming because she was a mutant. However, when Magneto flipped the machine to attack humans, she was the only member of his detail that wasn't affected. That said imagine how many people around the world must have perished in that moment. For example, people driving cars, swimming, walking across a street, flying a plane etc. The storywriter and director don't address it but in this movie Cerebro would have had an almost Thanos level affect on the world.

It's funny to see a complete X-men virgin, who knows absolutely nothing about the history of this group of evolved heroes (mutant has been spit like an insult in this story since the beginning, which I don't agree with since every single human being is a mutation based on heir parents DNA), reacting to these movies the same way I did over 20 years ago. If you would like to watch more X-men (aside from X-3) there have also been cartoons and anime versions of it available since the early 90s. PS the guy who raised the silver armor plates during the attack was Collosus, who you saw in Deadpool, only he's 15 years younger in this one, (though still CGI). ;p

Maybe you missed it in the end credit scene as the camera shot over the lake. There was a glowing large figure underneath the water. That's a hint to the next movie. I always thought the Wolverine character was made to look delusional and kind of pathetic because of him trying so hard to take Jean when she has told him more than once that she's with Scott. She acknowledged the attraction, but still told him that she was in love with Scott. So him saying to Scott, "She chose you." Duh! He already knew she was his. He made it seem like he had a chance with her, when she clearly walked away from his advances after he forced a kiss on her. In the comics, he dated Storm for awhile. Honestly, I wanted to see Storm and Thor be together. Their kids would be crazy powerful. Both are also considered Gods in their homeland. I saw a video about Marvel characters that most people may not have known were an item at one time. It did say that Thor and Storm hooked up. In one version of the Marvel comic books she was briefly married to and had a child with Black Panther, but things went wrong.
