Learn 4 ways to break the arm using TRITAC-Jitsu concepts and Japanese Ju-Jitsu or Aiki-Jutsu Techniques for Modern Street Self Defense.
Matt Bryers and Sean Jugler, co-founders of TRITAC-Jitsu use a lot of Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, especially Aiki-Jutsu Combat Techniques / Concepts to attack, submission and break the arms combined with the modern combative entries found in TRITAC.
The Jiu-Jitsu Arm Breaks we teach in this Combat Jiu-Jitsu Video are:
1.) Kimura Lock Submission / Head Smash and Break. Learn how to use the Kimura to control and attack your opponents arm/shoulder. You can use the Kimura lock to throw your opponent or simply smash them into the wall :)
2.) Straight Arm Lock - One of our favorite Jiu-Jitsu Arm Breaks is the straight arm lock from the underhook control. Underhook controls combined with Combat Jiu-Jitsu Striking Techniques gives you the opportunity to break your opponents arm using simple jiu-jitsu techniques.
3.) Kote Mawashi - is a common wrist lock or joint lock that is often found in Aikido / Japanese Ju-Jitsu / Aiki-Jutsu systems... but is taught in many martial arts. Typically this jiu-jitsu arm break or wrist lock technique is hard to execute. But, combine it with Combative Striking elements found in TRITAC, and it becomes a very powerful joint lock or arm break for self defense Jiu-Jitsu.
4.) Inside Arm Twist - The last Aiki-Jutsu Self-Defense Technique is a jiu-jitsu arm break that takes a good training partner to learn this jiu-jitsu technique. Or... not only will you break arms, but you'll smash your training partners face into the ground. For Jiu-Jitsu Self Defense ... who cares!
If you are interested in learning more Combat Jiu-Jitsu Arm Breaks and Jiu-Jitsu Techniques for Self Defense, check out our...

You're absolutely right. I use to practice Aikido.....and that's what was missing. In a real fight, you must break your opponent down most times in for these locks and throws to work. Clear and excellent instruction.

I love the mention of faceplanting.. there is a video of a girl in Angola landing a nasty seoi nage on a man harassing her and the dude flew straight into Mother Earth face first and gave it a kiss, completely wrecked. Most people don't realise that majority of throws in jiu jitsu were designed to make people land face or head first in order to either be knocked out or mess up spines and necks, judo emphasises less on this but it'll still happen if you throw someone who isn't trained over your shoulder

nabz al rash true even less people realise that any throw that throws you backwards into the ground in jujitsu. . Was seen to be a finishing move .. the idea being the ground is an unbreakable fist .. the back of your head not quite so tough .. originally all jujitsu was practiced with out stylised breakfalls. . The point was if you are doing it right it's not you that gets thrown.

Agreed. After going through the old static rep method in TJJ years ago and then moving on to BJJ and its focus on the actual energy and flow of the fight, it put a lot of the original techniques in perspective.

I like how on the last technique you mentioned him face planting if he doesn't have break falls. I was doing a similar lock but you go outside then duck under and back which makes them flip nicely through the air. I went to do the lock and my uke tensed and refused to break fall. what happened was I slammed his shoulder out of place, popped the bursa, and bounced his face off the mat. my sensei's first words were "that is why you don't resist".

I feel the same way as far as deadly or bone breaking techniques are no good if you don't set them up. Even in boxing you have to set up certain punches because nobody with fighting skills, or a good fighting sense is going to stand there & allow you to attack them however you please.

Lovely aikido here ...some people get really confused about this aikido is jujitsu. . It has become much more stylised but basically in its original form.its jujitsu specialising in stand up and weaponry. .in the same way judo developed from jujitsu to be about unarmed grappling and ground techniques. .. practicing both jujitsu and aikido is definitely a benefit .. the boxing just makes it work against realistic attacks .. boxing, jujitsu, aikido you can't go wrong . There is nothing wrong with aikido techniques. .just something wrong with the way 99% of aikido practitioners practice. . These techniques in this video is have used variants of every one in my career as a prison officer . They all work .. great video . I recommend your videos to all my students.

Not an expert by any means but I have to say in my time training jiu jitsu, I've only seen 2 standing subs. I have a hard time with all SD or traditional jujitsu because I've very rarely seen it work live or in comp.
@tritacacademy
@tritacacademy 5 жыл бұрын
First, we are talking more about combatives and self defense. I would doubt you would see many standing submissions in BJJ competition, because BJJ is primarily focused on ground combat. BUT - look at MMA! There are COUNTLESS times when a fighter will take another opponent's back, especially in conjunction with wall combat.

@tritacacademy
@tritacacademy 5 жыл бұрын
Look around / subscribe to the channel to see some weapons based combat. But in our experience it's stupid to put a blade in someone's hand without teaching them to fight empty handed. If you're looking for weapons defense, you definitely will find some resources here, but again, we typically don't teach weapons based combat in my school until the student has a least 1-2 years under their belt. If they can't before without facing a weapon, there's no fucking way they'll perform if a weapon makes an appearance

@@tritacacademy sir but what if their on thier 6months & suddenly an attacker with a knife or weapon charge in from no where, how can she/he defend her/his life w/o the knowledge to fight against weapon? that is exactly my point sir
@tritacacademy
@tritacacademy 5 жыл бұрын
@@hocares6983 In my honest opinion, if you're facing a knife with barely any experience, the only thing that's going to help you survive is your willingness to FIGHT for your life. There's no way you're going to be confident in fighting a knife or any weapon with basic experience.... again, in my own opinion. BUT - the techniques we teach for unarmed combat have direct correlation to armed combat. So when it does come time to introduce a weapon, the student already has the basic movement patterns, but now applied against a weapon.
