The Borlas totally rock. BTW in the early segment of the vid, with the stock exhausts, where you made the j-turn and headed back to the camera, that looked like a cop car passing behind you, left to right. Was waiting for him to turn around and come after you for...uh... whatever he could make up on the spot. Your Mustang looks great.

I once had a 2000 Mustang 3.8L and I installed a set of Flowmaster axle backs on this car...The Flowmasters actually made my 3.8L V6 sound somewhat similar to a small V8. The 3.7L is one of Fords best most powerful V6 engines but to be 100% honest with you I haven't heard any muffler that will make this engine sound really great. I love the sound of my Coyote with the Flowmaster American thunder mufflers but I must admit the GT350R Voodoo flat plane sounds so much better than mine.

Much improved. Ford makes a nice V6. We have one in our 2012 Explorer and it's got some good power but gets really good gas mileage. Still, that 5.0 Mustang is where it's at!

After owning v6 mustangs before I will NEVER make that mistake again! If it doesn't have a v8 its not worth owning in my opinion. Plus v6 will always sound like a v6.

+X4CTO I got a 2012 v6, the stock ones are really not all that bad sounding. The borla's are nice, i just today had to replace the throttle body i got a engine code pop up. Seems to be a problem with the stangs..and Ford does not honor any warranty on the part. Although knowing of this problem with their bodies, never a ford again.
@MichelLinschoten8 жыл бұрын
***** And you base that on my car? You must be special
@MichelLinschoten8 жыл бұрын
***** Nope never tried one, but heard them they sound great. The throttle bodies on ford including Fusion and Mustangs seem to give in rather fast. I replaced it with ease (no experience with car mechanics) as they do not require any calibration once installed. It's just a pain in the ass that it happens so quickly.
@paul5.2r8 жыл бұрын

I have a 2014 and sometimes I notice a lag in acceleration where the rpm drops off some, ever have this problem?
@AkshayBhavsar19898 жыл бұрын
+Tyrrell Jenkins i have a 14 v6 and noticed that too, especially if i suddenly take my foot off the accelerator, no idea why though.
@tyrrelljenkins92188 жыл бұрын
Same guy here, in some Mustang groups that I am in online, I was told that it is the way the factory tune is set up, dealing with the way the car is driven and it making the shift points adapt to how it is driven. And it occurs more so if you have to deal with stop and go traffic a lot. I noticed when I drive more aggressively the car does not do it so much.
@skybluemarshall8 жыл бұрын
+Tyrrell Jenkins It's called adaptive learning. When you accelerate slowly and smoothly, the computer stores that information and accordingly adjusts the settings, to match your driving habits. If you drive the car hard, it will eventually adjust to your new, hard driving habits, but it might take 50 or 100 miles. Disconnecting the battery for ten minutes, will reset everything to the more performance oriented settings. Even an aftermarket tuner will not completely override the adaptive learning, although an aftermarket tune will still greatly increase performance. But disconnecting your battery will cause you to loose your personal information, radio presets and custom color key settings. So, Mustang enthusiasts figured out, that pulling fuse #47 for ten minutes, will reset the adaptive learning, without losing any other settings. But, pulling a fuse every time your turn off your car, is inconvenient. After hearing this info on Mustang forums, the next wave of gear heads, took things to the next level, by installing a switch, that cuts the voltage to fuse #47. They simply flip the switch, every time they stop turn off the car and the car is fully awake, at the next start up. Not to be out done, another smart gear head, devised a circuit that automatically turns off the juice to fuse #47, whenever the ignition is turned off. You've gotta love that garage mechanic ingenuity. A simple cutoff switch is more up my alley.
@tyrrelljenkins92188 жыл бұрын
Thanks, that was the best info that I have been handed on the situation so far. I may look into trying to find a cutoff switch for fuse #47. I did notice that aggressive driving does change the dynamics a bit much.
@skybluemarshall8 жыл бұрын
I believe that need to turn off the car and then interrupt the power to fuse 47 for ten minutes. I'm not sure if you need the juice to fuse 47 turned back on before or after you turn the car back on. I'm almost positive that you need the power restored to that circuit before you start the car. I think this is why some smart guys built their own relay circuit, so you don't have to remember to flip the power back on, at start up. Their circuit automatically does flips power off and then back, with the turn the of the key. Also, not having read any drawings myself, I don't know what happens, if you forget to toggle the power back on, to fuse 47#. No power at start up? That would actually be cool if it acted like a kill switch. Like I said, more reading is required. I stopped reading about the subject, because this all sounds like, after warranty expiration, tinkering to me. I'll wait.
