As a Liverpool fan, I’d have been gutted if he’d gone to Bayern but I completely understand staying at Leverkusen taking them in to the Champions League next season.

Honestly Bayern would have been better than Real Madrid if that happens. We've got enough history lately with running into trouble against Madrid, imagine the salt in the wound if Xabi went there too. Him staying at Leverkusen from an unbiased point-of-view, its the best decision for his career. He's a cracking manager but nonetheless still relatively inexperienced. He's flying at the moment and should keep that stability. Gutted nonetheless!

@@JB-bu2lw yeah I just think Bayern would’ve been a bit uninspiring if he goes on to win the Bundesliga and Pokal with Leverkusen. He’d only be repeating his achievements but with a team who is expected to do it, so much of his success would depend on winning the champions League. I just think him going to Real Madrid at some point in his career is inevitable given it’s the peak of his playing career and he’s Spanish.

Makes most sense, dont know why would he go to Bayern.. why would he go to a team where you're expected to win everything when you are a manager of a team that stopped their domination. He has a chance to build something here, so choices would always be Levercusen or Liverpool. He has no football related reason to join Bayern

Unlike other clubs who qualify for europe tournaments, they start to struggle in their domestic league. But not Leverkusen, Xavi has done awesomely good on strategically managing his players for an optimum undefeated run this season. If this is how they are gonna play, we might see what Ten Hag's Ajax had done in UCL or even better.

as a liverpool fan im fine with this, i said from the start we were very unlikey to get him and i was right and i think this is the right choice for him as even if he doesnt win the league hes still put leverkusen in the UCL which he could do well with.

Liverpool confirmed rejected it, but FC Bayern are still waiting until the end of this season 23/24. I assume Chelsea, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Tottenham, Dortmund, RB Leipzig. There is one football has not yet been rejected because they have not made any offer yet and that is REAL MADRID.

He’s made a good descision. XA is an infant in terms of his managerial career and it’s easy to get swallowed by a club the size of Liverpool. He needs at least another year honing his craft and getting more experience before he’s ready to leave. I think Naglesmann is the guy for Liverpool

As a Liverpool fan, I am on two minds about Alonso's appointment. Unlike Leverkusen, this Liverpool team is more or less almost complete, with a few transfers which can make this team exceptional. He hasn't shown his management skill yet dealing with top stars. On the other hand, I am also not sure which other coach can qualify other than him. Possibly Xavi.

Unlike klopp's 1.0 team, this squad is more technical and i think we can go far with this team. As long FSG doesn't mess up with the next coach appointment, i cater we'll do alright.
