That moment in Hell's Bells that they show here with them exemplifies their relationship best. "You know how much I love you, right?" "Not half as much as I love you." And that moment sorta comes back full circle during the Season 6 finale when Xander uses that to save Willow. And even though it's on a very platonic level, it's very deep and strong between the two of them. The best kind of platonic love, really.

In one Episode in Season 7 where dawn thinks she might be a potential slayer only to find out its someother classmate, xander told her something like „you a true hero without hesitation you gave you place to the other girl, they will Never know how hard it is to be us, without any speacial Power to live like this beside them, Thats the strenght“ or something like that. Never was a Great Fan of him But that quote changed my entiterly perspective of him

And he’s pretty much the only one who was never evil! 😆 And like someone said below, in season 7 where they search for a potential slayer, he says he sees everything because no ones watching him! And Dawn says that’s his super power. Which was proven many times during the series. He’s the one who first goes to Riley then Buffy before they break up. Making Buffy see how she’s been neglecting Riley. As he’s the only one who sees the issues between them even before they realize it.

@@x-man9473 In high school, I pretty much WAS Xander, minus most of the quips and dating the cheerleader. I grew out of much of it. So did Xander.

I always liked Xander as a character but I kinda disliked him after finding out about Nicholas Brendon dont google him he's a bit of a double and it shouldn't have butnit ruined Xander for me.

quick note: I’m not excusing what he did by any means and he did terrible things, that was a while back tho and he has now devoted his life to spread happiness and awareness about depression and other mental illnesses and also to overcome his own depression and trauma. Buffy was a vampire in one of the dream/fear sequences. I think that's as close as it may have gotten

Wesley and Gunn have played evil in the spinoff, Angel. They chased Fred around the hotel with axes n such. Also in the comics, Gunn was turned into a vampire so he was evil then too.

Oz went sorta evil for a bit in season 4, couldn’t control his temper

That was season one and pretty much only that season. Angel was a vampire who turned evil and tortured Giles. Spike was a sadistic vampire who tried to rape Buffy less than a year before. Notice how he never disliked Riley, even warmed to him more than the others? How he was the one who convinced Buffy to get Riley back? Almost like the other two had legitimate reasons for suspicion or something.

Yeah, he could get really annoying with that typicall mentality of a man from the 90s. But thankfully that was not all he was, he really had some great moments along the course of the show that made him at some point likable.
