Nice start from Rory Brookes Scheffler and Morikawa. Noren still performing. Xander leading.....I wont say it, dont want to jinx him.

The players are taking advantage of a soft golf course. While Rick and KP were getting ready for this with Greg, Mark Hubbard birdied his last 2 holes to post -6 which was the afternoon best score. If I could have asked the panel 1 question, it would be I was watching Live from on Golf Channel with Rich Lerner Brandel Chamblee Paul McGinley and Johnson Wagner. There were upset that -9 is leading. Did the players just throw darts today? They were acting like the world was coming to an end cause at a major course the course was soft due to rain. With the possiblity of electricity after 3pm est tomorrow and rain in the forecast dont be surprise if there is start and stops. The record is -20 Jason Day Whistling Straits 2015. Scottie did great considering he didnt get much practice in due to having his son Bennett Wednesday. The Big 3 really didnt bring it. Rory -5. Scottie -4 Brooks -4. The lead is -9. 83 guys are even par or better. Its top 70 and ties that make the weekend. If you take Scotties hole out away, he made 4 birdies with 2 bogeys. He is t-11 after round 1.

The course isn’t that hard. Greens seem straight forward. And all that rough around them isn’t hard to get out of

Rahm was the same as he was in Adelaide and Sentosa, 4 or 5 holes missing line badly, and 6 or 7 birdies for the rest. He cant win while he is playing like this.
