@@AtilonWoW They were saying if he had used trinket instead of block he might've won. I'm saying that he did not have trinket equipped, so he could not have used it in the first place. That's what not having it equipped means.

@@AtilonWoW that's not at all what they were saying man. The initial comment implied that xaryu could have trinketed the blind instead of using ice block, hence why it asserted that block instead of trinket lost him the duel. Obviously they presumed he had trinket bc the icon was in his bar, which is misleading. However, as I pointed out, the icon on xaryus bar did not have a green tint surrounding it, which tells us that he did not have it equipped.

It depends of the affl lock, this lock played very badly he could do much better and maybe beat him even with the pillars. But if he don't hide thats a hard matchup for the mage if the lock know what he's doing

Both specs have a very good chance. Frost can destroy a sub with 2novas and the armor-shield talent. As arcane he made some mistakes since he doesn't duel that often. Nether tempest was a solid pick but choosing to block instead of using trinket for the blind was quite brutal. Also using greater invis and temp stacked or not canceling altertime in some situations. Claw after it's has been nerfed is of course also useless.

but he was arcane. i can see it if he was fire but arcane doesnt do well into rogues. xaryu actually played beyond perfect except for trading block for the blind instead of using trinket

@@loqztv I wouldn't go as far as saying xaryu is equal in skill to pika, but with frost he gets absolutely annihilated every time. Arcane is far and away the best mage spec for 1v1 thanks to alter time, master of time, temp, etc. As frost he doesn't have enough mobility or fast enough damage to kill pika before pika kills him. Also not sure what this other guy is talking about, fire is far worse into rogue than arcane. You literally have 1 combust go to do damage and if you don't kill them in that you're dead everytime, you legit only have 1 defensive in ice block and then you just get 1 shotted

@@loqztv I'd say he has more experience than xaryu at the highest level for sure. Pika has been a pro player for 5 years and finished in the top 4 at 3 blizzcons, coming in 2nd in 2018. Xaryu has never played in a real tournament in his entire life tmk, and he's certainly never been a pro. Hard to make an argument for xar being anywhere near pikas level when you take that information into consideration. Xaryu is definitely an excellent player on ladder, but he's never played against the best players in the world in a tournament setting. Tbf I don't think this is even a conversation people are really having: there's a general consensus that pro players are virtually always better than non-pros I think.
