Mingle is likely an older person from Venezuela just farming gold for a living, I've spoke with gold farmers from Latin America before, most of them are not computer smart at all, which explains a lot about Mingle if you watched the whole stream :)

I really like this seemingly random interaction with a random person in game. The playful music definitely works well.

What I think is happening: Mingle is farming herbs. He sells the herbs for gold to a lvl 1 Character on the server. The lvl 1 character transfers all the herbs to a populated realm, and sells it. (transfers FROM a dead server to populated one are often free) He sells the Gold for IRL Currency to someone else, or maybe the same person who also transfers the gold to a populated realm. Mingle probably lives in South America where this earns him a month salary.

I bought a couple profession kits from a guy in classic wrath. Ended up getting in disc with him for a bit. He was a cool guy. Has very broken English and it was difficult for us to communicate but started using google translate and he was exactly like this person. He just spends all day every day farming gold to sell. He isn’t selling it directly to the buyer, only does that with the prof kits. Since they live in countries with an inferior currency the exchange rate is worth it even for a small cut of the actually sell. We think of it as only $20 but it is far more for them. His dream was to save up money and move to America. This has always intrigued me because I have lived in the US my whole life. I asked him what he thinks he will get in the US that he doesn’t have already and what he thinks he can do here that he can’t where he is. There was never anything he could come up with. He kinda just thought ‘well it’s America so nobody works and everyone is rich and famous.’ Turns out I work longer hours than him and everything he thought was here he already had more of there. Just sits around playing video games for a living, literally. Lol

From the way he types and communicates and all the slang, I can tell he's from Venezuela. Venezuela is very known for people to farm gold in different games due to it having more value over the venezuelan Bolivar, so what he probably does is farm herbs, sells them to a gold seller and then gets paid IRL to sustain his family/himself. This is also a trend in a very old game called Tibia, where the currency in there has more value over the Bolivar. I know all this because I have some friends from Venezuela that do this kind of stuff for a living, most of them get banned and caught though so they have to find clever ways to sell the gold without being caught. :) Hope I helped cleared out some of the doubts everyone has! I told you in the previous video that a farmer can make $2000 per day or even more, they move in all divisions like DF to get free tokens then he will create a new account on CATA>ERA>SOD, to move your character on a low pop server it's free, for the gear it's an account from the first release era and blizzard doesn't ban it

I mean its 100% a gold/supply seller. Osrs has people from tons of 3rd world countries that play the game to support them selves. A few euros or usd go along ways in some places

Wonder why the server is dead? As much of a solo player as I am, being on a completely dead server on a game like WoW would be extremely lonely. The chats alone make for a good time when just relaxing in town or out farming.
