A customer wanted to see Xavion... in X-Plane... in a Cessna 172. So here it is.
But this video: • Fly a Lancair Evolutio... is WAAAAY better because it's in a REAL plane!

Please license this landing algorithm to foreflight! FF shows the glide distance ring but you have to figure out the rest on your own.

Reference flap extension speeds. Surely because you’re in an emergency situation , those limiting speeds no longer apply. Excellent software. Keep up the good work. 👏

you can bend the tracks and flaps may not extend all the way out when you really need them close to the ground. This would be another emergency on top of the one you already have on your hands. do not compound the problem

Why X-PLANE in multi-monitor setup every monitor have own window(program) and still everything use the same single core??? Why don't "copy" whole xPlane on the the different core each copy will generate 3D world for own monitor. And 3 monitor setup can demand 3x RAM. multi GPU don't mean SLI/Crossfire If any monitor run as a different application then graphics settings will can be different on each monitor. And if that will work than maybe more than one GPU will make sense. Each monitor (program) will use different GPU.

why in xPlane is better multi PC setup vs Threadripper with 3GPU for 3monitor setup? run 3x xPlane and each program (xPlane coppy) will use different GPU render only for one monitor.

How does Xavion know your airplane's location?

In the real plane, either the iPad’s built-in GPS or external unit (such as Stratus). Here it’s connected to X-Plane via the Network settings, so X-Plane is simulating an external device like the Stratus. This works same way as other apps like ForeFlight.

It is called Xavion, and you can get it at the App Store for iPad… I could not make it free, sorry… We have to load data into that and I have to pay for that monthly… Sorry!

@@austinmeyer I'm not against paying for the app. but what data in xavion isnt free? The terrain, obstacle, airport, nav, weather, etc are all public, in the U.S. at least.
