I just unconsciously started using less makeup. It started to look too fake on me once I turned 30. I have little age spots where the sun hits on my cheeks and I kind of let them peek through a light concealer. I kind of embrace them instead of trying to look like a porcelain doll in my 30s. Most days I just mix a little bit of concealer in with my moisturizer just to even things out throw on some brows, a tiny wing, a tiny bit of highlight and I’m good to go. I feel like as we age it starts to matter less because our confidence in our self goes up a bit or we just have kids so we don’t have time for the bullshit which is my case lol

Right? In the summer I'm still stuck on the "slightly burnt" cheek/nose blush look. This is probably why people think my 11 yr old daughter is my sister or friend🤣 Apparently I look 12 ... I dont know what it is but when I was a teen.. I looked much older... then since when I had kids at 23 I look like a child🤣 I'm living in a alternate universe I feel like.

Yes! I'm 36, and use a very similar method for my base makeup now. I always rock a wing liner too. Matte shadows on the outside of the lid, and shimmer on the inner corners to brighten is key, and NO BLACK LINER ON THE LOWER WATERLINE. But I do use a nice coat of mascara on my bottom lashes to create a more awake and open eye look. Brava, this was wonderful!

True. Im 40. we didn't learn how to do makeup at all. So this is helpful.... the face does change through the years. It's crazy how time flies and how times change...I remember my first cell phone was at 20 and it wasn't a smart phone. we had to just teach ourselves how to do everything. lol. But the 90s were awesome i must say... it was easier to get away with everything. :) xoxo We may be older, but we have amazing experiences & memories. Great vibes!

Yes! Face shapes do change. As well as other facial features. Like, my hooded eyes, I swear I did not have hooded eyes and now my eyeliner transfered to nearly my eyebrows.

Was anyone else taught to put concealer on before foundation? Along with over-plucking brows, millennials were done so dirty by beauty fads! Makeup has gotten soooo many better in the last few years, it’s incredible. I remember learning basic contouring from a Bobbi Brown book (!) I checked out from a library (!) in high school, but I almost never did it because drugstores never had contour, and I didn’t feel like I needed it. I’m so excited to learn this stuff, thanks for your video.

@soccermommyNPC3 жыл бұрын
Maybe because younger people don’t often shop in stores. Even their groceries are delivered, their fast fashion, everything is ordered online! Physical stores can’t catch up quite as quickly. I never thought I’d be nostalgic for shopping malls, but they really aren’t the same experience anymore. My school-aged sons really only go to the mall to see Santa once a year. Makes one wonder what the retail experience will look like in another 5-10 years.
@denise87912 жыл бұрын
What about the dang crop tops😒lol All I can find for pants now is super wide legs and they look silly on my little frame.or sweat pants. Everything is baggy and I love my leggings and skinny pants it just looks better on me. I figure I dress for my body type and if i like it, I wear it. I've attempted to follow trends in the past and it just makes me look silly. I ignore them now. I occasionally try to see what's trendy (I have 11 year old twins and my girl likes to throw in trendy bits so I need to be ready for them 😅 lol) Just wear what makes you happy and comfortable❤

As someone in my early mid 30s, it would really he nice to see these videos without the live filter, so I can get an idea of how it truly looks. Definitely not hating, but just can't really get the full picture you know?
@xameliaxYoutube3 жыл бұрын
Hey Reece, Thanks for watching! I haven't actively put a filter on here, but my new Sony camera does have more of a glow than my old canon i've noticed. To be honest, without a professional macro camera its near impossible to show every pore but I'm very open online and have no qualms about showing my real skin in stories, videos and photos as you'll see on instagram and here. Of course no product will give you a photoshop-perfect finish but this CC cream is the closest i've ever found! Feel free to ask any questions you like and i'll try to help - not an expert but i've found some stuff that works for me :) xax
