My backup rig for my EVH 50 watt heads for the last 5 years. Used straight into the PA on one occasion using the cab sim. I always get front of house to EQ at sound check then if any tech issuses I just finish the gig with a guitar lead and the Mooer. Does THE JOB!

Sounds killer! It would be cool if you checked out other High gain preamps from that series with maybe their real counterparts? (Comparing or using the tube powerstage from the amps)

Great demo, I have one as well and use it actually on my pedalboard with a Powerstage as a quick touring rig, when I can't get a tube amp with me. Works wonderfully and sounds awesome.

Dude this is a cool little toy right here. I have the EVH 5150iii el34 100 watt amp and I also have a joyo zombie rig that I use as a practice rig. I have the mxr 5150 overdrive but it sounds way too scooped with the mids dimed. Not a terrible pedal but I keep trying to make my zombie sound like my big rig. I think this pedal could take that joyo where I need it to go. I can even use the dual channel as a clean/distortion switch as the zombie does not offer that. Thanks for the awesome content bro!

Joyo has an amp in the same series as the zombie called the vivo, and that one is 5150 based, so it’ll get you pretty close

I have this one, and the 002 UK Gold (which is a Marshall JCM 900 sim). I like both a lot. I little EQ in the DAW helps, but really, these are great for the money.

I use the mooer 008 based on the mesa mark 3 alot and also use the 015. The 008 is my favorite use it with my savage drive going into my randall diavlo 1 watt with my vintage 30 loaded cab.

To be honest, im curious about that gas station. Wbat i found it should sound like a diezel..and for what i know diezels sound badass! I want to upgrade my tone a little. Is there any chance u have a little demo of it?

I got this thing and I ran it through the return on the effects loop on a few of my amps( a couple solid state combos and a JCM 900.) This will sound counter intuitive but this little preamp sounds best through my EVH 50w 6L6 1×12 combo. However...it does not sound as good as the EVH combo or even my EVH LBX1...period! But I'm impressed.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. but I see that you have a reverse slant to your picking just like I used to have and Ola England does. My daughter played with a forward slant and I adopted it. It took me about a month to master it but my tone was a lot brighter. I don't know if that helps but check it out. Love your channel! Keep it up bro..

Had the rectifier one. Sounded okay but what got to me was how when the settings weren't at noon, it dialed in nothing like a rectifier.

Well that blue channel on the pre amp pedal sounds exactly like the blue channel on my 5150 III 50w head. With the gain maxed out it's not really that high gain. I've always kinda wondered if there was something wrong with it, because everyone always praises the blue channel so much. Even with a od pedal it still doesn't have enough gain.

Yeah the blue channel on the amp should have WAY more gain than it does on this pedal. Sounds like yours may have an issue

You mean putting the drive pedal BEFORE the mooer preamp right ? Putting the drive pedal AFTER the preamp is a bit weird.

Well, the Brown sound 3 is much tighter, but does not really work well with boosts, whereas the brown sound 1 is not as tight, but works well with boosts.

Im gonna use it as my main live sound for gigs man. And i cant choose between them im in a deathcore band and the chugs man i realy need them to crush hehe Awesome playing btw man!

In FX loop since it's a preamp. But it might work fine in front of an amp clean channel.

Which preamp would you advice? I have a boss katana but want a heavier sound. But dont have the budget for a tube amp(by far) so i kinda want to get one

Do yourself a favor if you haven’t already, download the Boss Tone Studio. You can download user made patches for a bunch of amps. Mesas, Oranges, Peaveys etc.
