Xbox 360 Falcon RROD Code Anomaly

Жыл бұрынIn this video, Josh demonstrates an issue that occurs on some Falcon Xbox 360's when they get 01xx RROD codes, where the front panel will not correctly provide the secondary error code.

Now, it's fixed. I replaced the GPU with a fixed version of GPU RHEA from 2010.

Fixed mine with a reflow, its low tg so will probably break again. But now I know its not on blades :(.

Reflow never fix anything ok. And even so, you can't melt these chips solder with hot air or heatgun. So you didn't fix it. You temporarily revived it.

Interesting issue, for sure - do you suspect this issue lies in the 2BL, the SMC firmware or somewhere else?

I haven't taken any time to look exactly where, but it's definitely either the 2BL which reports the error or the SMC.

I sometimes gotten endless 0000 code on falcons with 480 gpu, especially when I booted system without one or more of the ram chips

I've seen some weird stuff with falcon error codes in general. One of them is the lights blinking out of phase as if it's lighting them individually and taking a while to do it. Also there's a joke about two wrongs not making a right somewhere in here.

@@Josh.Davidson in the end I didn’t manage to fix it since I don’t really have the tools to replace my faulty GPU, so now I’m rebuilding into an emulation console :)

Yo Josh, have you ever come across a unit displaying four red rings due to a serious problem that wasn't AV related? I've seen diagrams say it's possible but have never seen evidence

Is this present on RGH3 or all versions of RGH regardless of the version? I'm assuming it's a timing issue that directly interrupting the output but your the expert on such things.

Sir this console is stock, this issue occur on stock console. Any RGH console will NOT show 01xx error and just reset indefinitely and never boot.

Lol so there's an error in telling you the error. Can only imagine the frustration if you had a Falcon that had this issue in 2008 or so and the Microsoft support agent thought you were just not pressing the buttons properly!

Have a similar issue with my falcon. initially it was 0001, so I replaced the blown sanyo caps. But now I have error 000000000000 etc. But if I hit the eject button faster I get 1111111111 etc, like wtf is going on lol kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hL5xad2h06nIh5c.html

NO, it's not true. This is 0110 error in DISGUISE. Don't believe me? Debug it with post code and SMC debug.
