You see this is why I like Metal Jesus. He admits that a game may not be perfect, but each game with a unique premise or mechanic deserves a look... and he really gets that. Some if these games got a lot of shit when they released, but they were a lot better than some people gave them credit for. Metal is a true gamer. He plays for the fun of the game. I respect that.

I think the switch from the 360 to the One, or the PS3 to the PS4, was the worst console upgrade era for both parties. No wonder people are still on their old consoles. This move has turned me into a retro gamer on a modded OG Xbox. I barely play my Xbox one. Pretty much just used it for GTA online. Which is a dinosaur now. Waiting for a virtual reality GTA. I'll do that upgrade. Gonna skip the Xbox X.

GhostSniper3081 Funny...you claim that you're unsure if he was even alive in 2006, and then say, "Note to self: Do not reply to 12 year olds". If he weren't alive in 2006, say he was born in 2007, he would only be seven years old; possibly turning eight this year. Learn to count properly before you respond so pathetically and stupidly.

7:47 Kingdoms of Amalur was one of the best surprises I ever had in gaming. I was looking for something that I missed. Something really good. And it delivered. I was hooked. Then I played it again a year later and decided to buy the DLC. I’m sure I paid full price for ancient DLC but IDC. What a pleasure.

Sacred 2 is a great and overlooked game. I bought the game awhile back for $9.99. I ended up putting 155 hours into a Shadow Warrior and got to level 114 by the time I had finished the campaign on the Niobium level. I could see myself going back and playing it even more perhaps as a different class. It might not be as polished and pretty as Diablo 3 but I might say I actually prefer it. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Hey dude, as a long time subscriber and viewer of your videos I can say that your hidden gem videos are among the best videos on youtube. Mostly for me because of the new titles I learn about. Your recommendations have lead to me buying many killer titles. So thank you for that. Not so much for Flipnic on the ps2 which I thought was crap though :) I have a tip for improving a tiny little aspect on your hidden gems videos which would increase my enjoyment even further. I decide whether or not I like the games you show while watching the video. I usually keep a piece of paper next to me where I write down the titles I may start looking for. Having the game's titles on screen during all of the gameplay would prevent me from having to scrub back to find out what the title was. Just my two cents worth here.

Glad to see quite a few games in my collection that are in this video like Singularity, Enslaved, Project Slypheed, Split/Second...as for faceplates I personally liked them but I can understand why didn't really take off. I suppose some people saw it as "cool but useless" item and most of the plates I saw went straight to the bargain bin. I personally own the "Deathsmiles" plate and a "The Outfit" faceplate. I know quite a few faceplates (namely promo ones) have gone rare and worth some money.

It's funny how in that last game the main character was running around outdoorsy levels wearing high heels. I think we really need some fresh character designers in the industry, it's getting a little ridiculous. As for the faceplates, no, I can't get into them. I don't look at my console as I play them and nobody else cares what my console looks like so why bother? All I care is that it is well-maintained and clean. Same feeling towards game-centric editions of various consoles like Halo Reach Xbox360 for example. Why would I want my console to have a design based on a single game? Same with controllers. Have you seen those custom-built joysticks with CRAZY designs underneath? It's almost impossible to find the actual buttons to press. Some styling is fine just as long as it's the OG styling of the console. Like the sweet-ass HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS on my super cool 16-bit Genesis machine by Sega®. Now that impresses my friends when I show them true high definition 16-bit power on the next level.

My original Genesis I painted sonic and Axel from streets of rage around where you plug the cart in and brought it to school for show and tell, 16 bit games were/ are a huge inspiration in my life long learning of art and illustration, I can't say the same for more current gen games and systems but certainly that era in my opinion inspired me the most in that department. Mortal Porcupine Because the 7th generation is over. The 3DS is still the newest of it's kind. Plus, the 360 is almost 10 years old while the 3DS is like 3.

I don't know if "ended" is the correct way to phrase the 7th gen current console state. Yes, the next gen stuff is here but to say the 7th gen is over is just foolery. The "last gen" is still releasing games at a faster pace then the new blood... ended or still in the middle of a final sprint tsunami?
@lMrFresno559l
@lMrFresno559l 10 жыл бұрын
Um no. The 7th gen is the last gen, Its not current gen. The PS4/X1 is the current gen. And with every new generation, there is always a grace period. But after 2014. You are not going to see games being released of last gen hardware. And if they do, its cross gen.

Gustavo Andrade all jokes aside, I actually own an Xbox 360 and it's not bad. In fact,it has some of my favorite exclusives out there. Now, I just prefer the PC platform because of its extra features (graphics, framerates, and things and stuff i need to use for school and work like MS Word and PS . That was my point. To express my opinion and have a laugh too.

its funny. I've never held a 360 controller , or seen a game in real time.. I've seen my friends Xbox360 on a shelf collecting dust for about the entire lifespan of the console.. I live in Norway (Europe) and PS3/PS4 is huge over here, some people arent even aware the 360 exist
@GamerBaron
@GamerBaron 10 жыл бұрын

@IoIocaust
@IoIocaust 10 жыл бұрын
yeah I know!! I figure it's like this. The US buyers gets the american system cause it caters more to americans. Sony sellls systems in Japan, cause it caters to the Japanese market. There's also a sense of patriotism. Now the EU is in that sense unbiased. Playstation still get the "americanized" games cause the EU/JP market is too big for them to not reach out to. But the Xbox dont get to many Japanese titles being the systems sells so poorly in the US. So that's why I think Sony sells more in EU and Japan
@CyborgNinja7
@CyborgNinja7 10 жыл бұрын
Bear Kuma The PS3 has nearly the same amount of marketshare as the 360 in the US. Not quite as much, but certainly close. I won't even talk about the Wii. And the PS4 is beating the Xbox One in the US.
@IoIocaust
@IoIocaust 10 жыл бұрын
CyborgNinja7 yeah, 360 got a head start of one year.. Now the 360 totals at 80 million units, the ps3 82 million. Thats pretty good. but yeah. the 360 wins in the US. but every other country the ps3 wins. PS4 is beating the xbox1 all over the world. thats due to the trust people lost in Microsoft over those shitty choices they made, the selling price and the overall design vs the ps4's . The launch lineup on the xbox1 I have to admit was actually better than the ps3. but even good games couldnt salvage the face MS lost
@CyborgNinja7
@CyborgNinja7 10 жыл бұрын
Bear Kuma I agree, and Sony's support of indie developers and the Vita makes the PS4 a winner in my book. The ability to remote play your PS4 games on a handheld is an amazing feature, and if you already own one, then getting a PS4 over the Xbox One is obvious. I sound like a Sony sales rep now, but really I see little reason for the Xbox One in the long-run except for the Kinect and whatever exclusives it may have over time.

I'm sorry, but considering the PS3 has far more exclusives then the 360 that people care about for the most part, I feel that this video should have been called HD 7th Gen Hidden Gems. For the 360, I feel it's the exclusives if has that would help it a lot more. I'm more of a Sony person so I would just get these games on a PS3. I do own a 360, but most of my games are digital on it due to my lack of interest in some of the exclusives on the 360. Don't get me wrong, this is a great video, but I recommend a little more title consideration next time please.
@hippari
@hippari 10 жыл бұрын
***** Way to sound mature. Ed Prins-Stairs is right, though. The ONLY 360 exclusive here is Sylpheed. Should have been "7Th generation multi-platform hidden gems" or something similar... Or don't talk about multi-platform games. Stick to 360 exclusives like Beautiful Katamari, Blue Dragon, Chromehounds, Deathsmiles, Guilty Gear 2: Overture, Lost Odyssey, Magna Carta 2, Ninety-Nine Nights, etc, etc. There's a lot of hidden gems in the 360 exclusives. Why stick multi-plats in here ?
@GamerSpax
@GamerSpax 10 жыл бұрын
Not to mention, with Microsoft's many recent decisions turning a lot of people off from them as well (though for me, it was when Microsoft tried to push the Kinect which for me is less practical then the Move or Wii Remote) that I started to care less about what Microsoft had to offer and more about what Sony had to offer. With all this, there's much more reason to stick with 360 exclusives so to prove that Microsoft isn't as bad as some people may currently think. I love MetalJesusRocks videos as it helps me discover many games I didn't originally know about and helps me greatly as a gamer and collector, but I just really want to see more of what is the best for each system discuss and not a game in general that is on multiple console that is talked about on a video focused on one console alone.

I would have to disagree. The PS3 may have had more exclusives, but the 360 had higher quality ones.

I feel it's debatable. I'm also going to add for the obvious one, I do not like Gears of War that much. It comes off as generic and boring. There are others I do enjoy, but I wanted it to be clear that that particular series doesn't work for me. I have nothing against shooters and there are some I enjoy, just not those ones in particular.
@walrusking14
@walrusking14 10 жыл бұрын
Ed Prins-Stairs Lol you mean Testosterone: The Game. Gears is kind of a guilty pleasure for me. Anyway I love Halo and Mass Effect (the first 2 were exclusives until a year or 2 ago). As a heads up I don't count PC releases. So you've got L4D 1 and 2, Half Life 2, Team Fortress, Portal, Alan Wake, Blue Dragon, Beautiful Katamari, Crackdown 1 and 2, the Fable series, the Forza series (not a fan of GT), Lost Odyssey, Toy Soldiers, Witcher 2 and many others.
