QUESTIONS ANSWERED + MORE INFO BY YA BOI: "Will I be able to play online after the marketplace shutdown?" Yes, only the marketplace content will shut down. Not the online services. "Will I be able to play my owned games?" Yes, as long as you own them BEFORE the shut down, you can play them. "Will I be able to download some of my games that I deleted?" Yes, you will be able to download games and other content via your Download History on your Xbox 360. "Will I be able to purchase Avatar Items after the store shuts down?" No, the Avatar Store is included in the marketplace shutdown. I will do my best to keep answering questions, and updating this comment 💜💯✨ EDIT: Some of you also noticed some mistakes I’ve done in the video. I apologize for them and any additional confusion, as research videos aren’t my strengths 😅 So far: Batman Arkham City DOES have a remaster Red Dead Redemption IS backwards compatible and the servers are the same. I apologize once again, but nonetheless, I hope I helped in some way 💜

Here is a theory, that you would not connect to xbox live after 2025 on xbox 360, because you cannot set data in settings after that time

I mean Gamerpics and Avatars were still consumerism but I get what you mean, back then it felt like it was a feature more for expressing the player rather than to increase profits. Xbox 360 Era of gaming was GOATED and I don't think we'll see anything like it again.

There needs to be more than a sale. They need to get certain games listed again (there are literally backwards compatible games you can’t ever play because they never had a retail release and aren’t on the store anymore like SoulCalibur 2 HD Online)

And I'm not just talking about black ops II, but also the other hidden gem games that never got the spotlight that people should consider looking into. And thankfully, we do have three-two months left until it shuts down.

I got a $10 gift card on my account and sure enough, the money shows up on 360. HOWEVER, I can’t complete a single digital purchase on my 360 or the Xbox Marketplace/Avatar Store. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong :/

@@RodeoKemono if you aren't physically on the same country you're trying to buy on you might have to set up a VPN. Some items will give you these types of problems like Call of Duty Classic.

It’s more likely licensing is running out on a lot of old games and Microsoft doesn’t want to deal with renewals. It’s also why physical 360 copies are going up in price. Because of low run, rare games out there only on 360 or ps3

Arkham City does have a remaster in the Return to Arkham collection with both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City on current gen and goes for really cheap on sale (i think around $6? if i remember right) but the game isn't going anywhere lmao. Its worth buying the original on 360 if you prefer the graphics of the original

You can buy those AFTER the shutdown btw, except for black ops 3 last gen. If a game is backwards compatible with xbox one/series x then the dlc's will still be available to purchase. Waw and bo1&2 are thankfully on the backwards compatible list

What this video did for me was really serve as a reminder of how many crazy and goofy games there were on the 360. I feel like that's one of the things that console gaming in gerenal has lost touch with. This guide will be hella useful💯🔥 So many timeless classics, fun games, DLCs, epic gamerpics, cool themes, and countless avatar items. Its a shame that the Xbox 360 marketplace is getting shut down. But as Dr. Suess said, “Don’t cry because its over, smile because it happened.” Even though the xbox 360 marketplace will end, we still get to keep our memories of the games we played and the people we played with back then. We also get to keep our memories browsing through gamerpics and themes, and creating or editing avatars. Imma miss the marketplace alot tho. ;-; (p.s. Love YTs like you. It’s because of people like you that brought me back to these consoles and reminded me. Ps3 and Xbox 360 are so important to me. I play ps3 everyday now over ps5 I got sick of lack of content and games on the newer gen. Says a lot when there is only a handful of exclusives on ps5 after 4 years. 600 plus games in that time released which seems much but nah it isn’t look how many ps2 and ps3 had at that point absolutely staggering. I’ll let the kids and kids below the ages of 20 have these consoles as it’s All they know. I’ll always advocate these consoles.

Buddy, my siblings and I have been playing old games since we were born starting with the Namco Museum and Intellivision Game Collection for the PS1. And since then, while I was annoyed at playing the same Namco game over and over again with my mom on the Gamecube, I still play old games here and there, considering that emulation has made it much easier to access games that would have required spending hard earned money/cash just to get a copy of it. 7th Generation was the very last generation that I ever bothered to play video games, as I transitioned to go fully PC/Mac after 2010/2011, hence why the Xbox 360 was the last console that I bothered to play on. So yeah, I can totally see where you're coming from, but the consoles themselves aren't going to last long, which is why I don't power them up often is because, well, it's degrade and cause the hardware to wear out quicker than if you kept it in a box it was made for and only use it when you wish to play it and that's it.

There are some games and DLC that are backwards compatible, but can't purchase digitally on the current store. So much for preservation.

The preservation IS very por only 27% is BC and 6% of the OG Xbox. The 360 have 49% of BC with the original Xbox.

What’s even crazier is the people that used to have Xbox 360 backed in probably don’t even have a gaming system today because they’re too busy with their lives whether they are married have kids or they’re probably dead or something or just living life gamer free. The 360 will always be nostalgic to me even though I was 14 then(now almost 33 today). wherever my 360 is it didn’t die in vain. I will always treasure to memories. Thanks for the video man. There's also the OG Xbox games available on the marketplace; there's several OG Xbox games that aren't playable on Xbone/Series but can still be purchased on the 360 marketplace. On the US store, these are the ones I've found: 1. BlowOut 2. Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex 3. Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows 4. Metal Arms: Glitch in the System (bloody good this one) 5. Raze's Hell 6. Sega Soccer Slam 7. The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning 8. Zapper: One Wicked Cricket! Plus, the 360 had a lot of great shmups like Caladrius, which aren't backwards compatible on Xbone/Series! Get em while you can!

The games on the store that came out on disk will forever be available to buy and play but I highly recommend you decide on what games you want to play again and buy them brand new because a used disk always has issues playing because of the nature of a disk.

If you payed attention in that part of the video, you could know the case here is all the games I cited, and also the focus of that segment of the video, are backward compatible, but they have one or more DLCs can be putchased only using the Xbox 360 Marketplace, like Sonic Generation's Casino Night Pinball, por example. In the case of Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, there's a store inside the game, and this store calls the X360's Marketplace menu, and there's a costume pack for Yun, Yang, Evil Ryu and Oni can be purchased only in that store. That item is listed at the current Xbox Store (Arcade Challengers Pack), but unavailable por purchase from there, and purchasable, again, only by using the in-game store. If the in-game store calls the Xbox 360's Marketplace to show the contents, what will happen with this DLC after the Marketplace's shut down?

Kinect sports was one of the best games for the kinect on the 360 n certain other ones but long live those memories of older gens that r getting wiped but people that still have there older consoles all I can say is wow thats amazing im lost for words, holding on to something so dearly it brings back so many memories just sad these games r never coming to newer gens

RTA is full of glitches because the devs didn’t port the games properly to unreal 4, causing models to be poorly rendered, ambience completely removed and textures/collision being non existent, which is why the original unreal 3 versions are superior, although the RTA asylums does have rain but it’s because they used a beta version for the unreal 4 port

Everything transactional with purchases won't be available on Xbox 360. Such as renewing your membership, buying gamerpics/games/themes/ other xbox 360 content that isnt' BC If a certain content isn't available on new gen Xbox consoles or at least archived, it will be gone forever

Almost all the free clothes are found in the extras of Crackdown 2. Will save heaps of time digging through the Avatar store. Edit- all the avitar items are listed in individual "stores" under lifestyle collection (navy and marines, black spade) and under 'game styles' has all the crack down 2 items. can download everything in like 5 minutes, its all packaged up together.
