I didn’t know what I wanted for Christmas so I was like what the heck. I’ll ask for an elite controller this Christmas. So far I like it. I like the premium feel of it. Even the thumb sticks have a nice weight to them.

Imo I think all controllers should include back paddles now this would allow games to make use of much more buttons than normally available

Elite controllers have to have some functions a regular controller can't do or else what good are premium controllers? It's also not supposed to make devs want to use more buttons because if you did then you can't map face buttons anymore since they would have a function already

@@LonghornsLegend Having the option to make it become an extra button would be nice or even just putting buttons on the back grip where you hold the controller. This would open up much more possibilities in game like a dedicated lean button, etc, etc

@@udieunit but we do have that option already lol it's in this controller you can literally do all of that. Your asking for a controller to come default with paddles that already have buttons designed for them. If they did that it completely takes away any customization to map buttons as we choose which is one of the best perks. Each owner decides where they want the buttons to be so if I want reload and run on a back paddle I can do that. If they are already buttons you can't.

@@udieunit ok. But that's just not very logical asking a game console to implement 4 completely new buttons. And then ask Sony to do it so the games make sense for them. And then scrap all your old controllers lol I'm just saying be realistic

I have the series 1 elite controller already, it’s tight. And with a few various XBox One controllers and the 20th anniversary controller, I’m already booked up on controllers. The elite controller is cool for the use of trigger paddles, which is useful for intense online matches for games like Doom: Ëternal and Halo: Infinite. But not necessarily useful for casual or arcade games. It is what it is.

Hot take here. Internal batteries suck. Rechargeable AA's are cheap, long lasting, and give the ability to swap to fresh batteries in a few seconds when the batteries die

I have this problem where my controller randomly disconnected mid game. Then when I powered it back on. The home button had a blue light instead of the normal white color, now it's not powering back on and even if I plug in a charger the low battery light keeps blinking orange

Number One, carry case protects controller, therfor you will be a better gamer. You can DIY this by creating a mold for your controller out of play doh, add titanium cloth and a zipper to the original box and having a full time butler who's job it is to move the controller from the box to your hands. 😛

I have this very controller, and I have 2 major issues. The A button does not always register an input, it has like a 66% input detection, and the left analog stick will not press down (L3) if the stick is pointed at 10 or 11 o'clock. Makes it insufferable when playing Halo in multiplayer.

With my brand new elite 2 if you push down on the right thumb stick it turns the controller off. Maybe yours is doing something similar, try testing it out turn on the controller and press down on the sticks move them around and press them down n see what happens. It could be the same problem for you. Either way I just made a warranty claim for mine and will send it back Monday to be replaced, but for now I understand just mapped r3 to the r1 paddle, and l3 to the l1 paddle n it works so long as I remember to not push down on the right stick lol.

Stopping by to say no do not buy one. Stick dirft issues after 8 months. Owned a scuff previously and it lasted 5 years before developing stick drift. I'll be buying another scuff!

Honestly I don’t know why ppl map the reload and switch weapon buttons to the paddles on the back. You can’t shoot when switching weapons or reload while shooting so you can take your hand off the controller for a little bit

Sorry dude but a built it battery is the weakest point of any controller. Eventually the battery degrades and you can’t replace it. Rather than swapping batteries for an over priced controller
