Already exist. On PC Handhelds you can use any interface you want. Even the Switch interface.

Xbox signed a deal with Amazon so official gamepass will be on firestick 4k an 4k max only. I came here looking for the release date myself.

Have you tried it on Amazon silk for fire models that don’t have the app yet? It seems like it works but then my Xbox controller keeps moving the cursor instead of playing the games and I get stuck….any ideas?

I got it today - works great. Thea idea is for the wife & kids to use it, when I am at work. My Series X was looking at me strange though, when I approached the tv with that tiny fire stick...

My app looks totally different - only the cloud portion shows so not full gamepass. In terms of playing. Nothing works. I can hear it bit otherwise just a green screen...

Great video except for one thing you didn’t hardwire it if you actually hardwire it which there is a dongle available from Amazon a first party one you might actually fix your problem of lag, especially in Forza horizon five

It is not 200 million potential new subscribers as the only firetv that can be used have only been available since late 2023. More like a few million maybe…waiting to order mine on Prime days July 16-17

There is no fix for lag in this case. firestick uses wifi that isnt a very fast way to use cloud gamming plus it is a hardware with very low specs for it too. If any firestick get a network cable slot someday, maybe it will become nearly acceptable

WiFi is perfectly fine for cloud gaming. Occasionally I use GeForce NOW over WiFi and I can’t tell a difference between local vs cloud gaming and I play shooters and racing games. Now, I will say I have no interference in my case and I have tweaked my WiFi signals manually for optimal performance so, as always, YMMV. If they can get to GeForce NOW performance it’ll be perfectly acceptable for the vast majority of casual gamers. Edit: also, my location to GFN servers might be playing in my favor-but my point is these issues can be addressed.

@@Weeble_Warbles yeah i play in PS Portal using wifi but using the network, not internet and its unbelievable that it have nearly zero delay at 60fps 1080p. If cloud game can do this it will be a great new way to the gamming cenary

Has a lot to do with your internet connection and if you are using wifi or wired.

Location and service provider will continue to be the make-or-break factor for the foreseeable future. I can't see the scenario where someone gets some crazy benefit unless they are a current subscriber, and had fire sticks in their house already. Even then, if you are dedicated enough to invest in USB Ethernet adapters to get the best possible connection, you would have setup another device by now anyway. What I foresee, is Amazon releasing NEW models this year that will take better advantage of this partnership. This co-indices with MS divesting from hardware and pushing their streaming service harder. And Amazon ditching Luna. It makes for a great bullet-point for MS to list Amazon as another avenue for new subscribers.

My current contract with my ISP is over and I will be looking at direct fibre into the house and an increase of both down and up speeds with lower latency so we shall see if that improves it enough for me to use it more.

I travel 80-100 days out of the year, so this is an excellent option compared to packing up my xbox. Even with lag issues, there are a lot of games that won't be impacted in any meaningful way, such as stardew valley, darkest dungeon, house flipper, etc.

I am not sure as I gave up on it and I did test the latest device at a friends with the official app and it was the same so didn't take it any further.

1. Use lan not wifi. Just expand your fire stick. 2. The 4 K stick, I dont get that. 4k = more data to transfer. Why not on fire stick 3d gen or so? 3. Do not compare this to a console or gaming pc, that's totally unrealistic. Compare the size of the stick to a console or pc and shut up. Disclaimer, I haven't tested this yet nevertheless my points are serious. Greetings from Netherland

Yes, that is why I never compared the Fire Stick to a console but I did compare the gaming experience as that's the most important thing here all being said we have not learned anything new here as cloud gaming is still as volatile as it has always been and is very reliant on network infrastructure from end to end.

Yes it doesn’t work for most games regular people play because of lag like we all thought. CFB 25 is about to come out and GTA 6 will be the next big game nobody is going to waste their time with this for big titles and just play it on console or computer.

yeah I agree, a lot needs to change before cloud streaming is a good option for all games and this will not be in the near future. It's not worthless like you said its good for some games and if that is all you want to play then maybe it will be good for some people.

@@ARG you mentioned using it for travel, you think streaming will be better than all the other emulation options (including handheld - jailbroken or not) that are available?

What I mean is when I go on holiday and stay in a hotel that has wifi I will take the firestick so I can watch tv etc so this adds games to keep me entertained when you have downtime. I do think playing games natively on the device will always be best and handhelds like the Anbernic ones I review or other "jailbreak" devices will always be king.
