Bruh Xbox is cooked. Gamepass was the Hail Mary to make the brand relevant again. I don’t believe the growth is there despite them putting all their games on the service day 1, and giving away subscriptions for $1. Still no updates on gamepass subscription numbers in 4 years, and nothing being said about these new rumors. The silence from Microsoft actually says a lot about where Xbox is headed.

Just speaking for myself but i think alot would agree. Its not the fact that i cant afford to have 3 or 4 different gaming devices. It's that i dont want to have that many. Thats ridiculous to me. Waste of money and time.

I'm not sure if it's ok to mention other youtuber's content (at least some content creators aren't ok with that and I get that), but I still want to point out Spawn Wave's new video titled "This Is It For Xbox...?" where between 9:28 --> 10:15 he mentions that already Sony seems to be getting comfortable with dominating the console space (outselling the Xbox 2-1 or 3-1) and to basically try and cite him (don't remember the exact words): Ever since Xbox One and now Xbox Series X|S, Sony's been getting way too comfortable having the lead so you kind of need that other competitor to stay healthy since now Sony's putting out around 1-2 exclusives per year and raising their subscription prices and we really don't want to see a situation where they get any more laidback than that. And I'm saying this as an Xbox fan, mind you. He also mentioned that the Nintendo Switch is in its own ballpark to which I fully agree here. Nintendo figured out that they can't compete in the same markets as Microsoft and Sony and I think they did the absolute best move focusing on the handheld side and not AAA games or crossplatform games as much. They also seem to cater towards indies a lot and have that insanely good exclusive suitcase (mario, zelda, donkey kong, metroid, animal crossing, smash bros, fire emblem, pokémon, splatoon, pikmin, xenoblade, kirby and the list goes on). But just thought I'd reference him from that video as a comment here since I watch a bunch of tech/gaming content creators. But yea MS/Xbox being as healthy as they can be is beneficial to both xbox fans and also playstation fans even if they don't know it yet. We really don't want to see Sony get any more cocky...

The problem is and will remain for a long time, I believe, in competitions. In a market where manufacturers are relaunching and offering players multiple experiences, each crazier than the other, means that we, the players, were winners all round because Sony and Xbox were fighting for first position and everyone was going their own way. ideas and its technologies ensured that we always had ever more beautiful and interesting experiences with incredible technological machines and made the market healthy and viable but now that the possibility of Xbox becoming a third-party publisher is certainly interesting but I believe that there may be a loss of steam on the part of SONY who will no longer see the obligation to satisfy us in order to gain market share and sell consoles. We saw it in the past when SONY thought they were in control and the in the top. If XBOX is no longer an adversary Sony risks and will certainly pay attention to us players and will no longer take the trouble to make efforts to conquer us and the projects will distance themselves more and more and it will no longer be necessary to release machines as regularly as before and above all they will be able to sell it at the price they want and we will be losers at all levels. Like Capcom who are currently doing surveys on their website to find out which titles players would be interested in seeing come back as a remake or with a new encrypted entry to minimize risk-taking but in this survey in no way suggests the possibility of 'a new IP, do you remember SONY's first showcase at the game awards with "Pragmata" where did this game go? well it's not the only one that has disappeared from the radar screens but dozens of titles that are lost in the limbo of the developers who, because of the current climate in the industries, favor Remakes in spades of Resident Evil which are not not all great (RE3, it's good but it was supposed to be a DLC for RE2 Remake and that stopped but to maximize profits they inflated the sales amounts to that of a normal full title without the effort that comes with it and missing thus parts of the games)... Konami has disappeared despite the quantities of legendary IP in their possessions they sit there without doing anything and let it die it's a franchise where others could have bought them and developed them in their place but they know what it's worth and don't want to get rid of it and that's a shame.... I'm not even talking about game piracy or in the 90s, early 2000s it wasn't very serious even if it still is in reality but developers didn't invest several million in their titles but today it's another pair of sleeves and it hurts the developers very much even if it is only 15 - 20% of the share which is affected, at several million, like 150 million, at 20% that still leaves 30 million missing in the income that could have been reinvested in another title or a new IP. I don't mind if Xbox games wind up on Playstation, it's better if more people have access to more games. I'd just like Xbox to be successful so that I have easy access to my Xbox library of games on future generations of consoles.

I'm a die hard xbox guy. If this happens I'm done. First party exclusives are absolutely necessary to get people interested in your system/brand. Halo, gears, forza....on Playstation bitch please! Especially shooters just feel more natural on xbox. Plus the Xbox online mp service, used to be live, is much better than the ps network. Xbox needs to stop caring about what the competition is doing and focus on doing what they do well. Halo, gears, shooters, racing, sci fi adventure games ect. Perfect what you do well. Stop caring about overseas. Nail down North America since that's your home market. Win your market first then see if you can branch out. Xbox put one foot in the grave with the disastrous Xbox one launch. They have finally recovered only to possibly shoot themselves in the foot again. If this is the second time you fuck over your fan base it's a guarantee that this time your going to lose them. There are so many xbox exclusives that have been forgotten. Bringing these back would most definitely help. Crimson skies, mech assault (especially with mechwarrior 5 on xbox), black, mercenaries, project gotham, ect ect....all of these need new entries. Xbox is on fire for a lot of years now: - online only - no offline\local profiles (that's outrageous, why my friend needs to create a MS account just to play with me during couch coop???) - games are bad, for around 10 years not a single xbox exclusive was Goty, at best games are mediocre... - Xbox WANT subscriptions only, MS don't care about game owning or sharing For me all these things is a big red flag🚩 , I'm going to drop my xbox and stick with my Switch and upcoming "Switch 2", don't care about xbox anymore. Very disappointed in Xbox and the path they've chose.

Xbox going 3rd party is a rumor at the moment, but if its true and microsoft wants to suddenly shift strategies and ruin xbox game pass, Im done with xbox. Not because I don't want everyone to enjoy these games but rather microsoft would be doing another Xbox one, this time in the middle of the generation not the beginning which is worse because theres less time to recover and more money to loose especially with the ABK deal, which means it would end xbox as a console brand and it would just be there as the owner and publisher of certain franchise and thats it.
