I would have loved if they had added a few of the early marvel games like X-men Legends, Spiderman 2, Ultimate Spiderman ect as well as Batman Vengeance and Rise of Sin Tzu. But its totally understandable why they didn't I can imagen the licenses for those games being really hard to get back.

Been waiting years and years for the Mech Assault games to get back compatibility so I can finally ditch my original Xbox. Guess I'm hanging onto it. 😔

One of the biggest snubs for me was Arx Fatalis, it's so weird. It's an OG Xbox immersive-sim RPG developed by Arkane, I really thought that they could've brought it back to Xbox... hell, the PC version of Arx Fatalis is literally on Game Pass PC right now.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that the only reason JSRF is not on Xbox one series xs back compat when it was on 360 is music licenses.

The only thing I’m bummed about is that Lost Odyssey didn’t get any enhancements. That game could be gorgeous in 4K

i honestly just wish sony would back compat ps2 and ps3 games so i could put them in my ps5. personally xbox has nailed backwards compatibility, there are more titles than i ever would have imagined they would release so i’m not too upset that they aren’t doing anymore. if i had to choose though i would’ve loved to see burnout 3 takedown from OG xbox make a return, as well as the PGR series be brought back.

My biggest snubs from the Xbox backwards compatibility program are as follows. Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Buffy 2 Chaos Bleeds. These games are licensed games based off of a 90's TV show and are WAY better then they have any right to be. The fighting mechanics in these games are some of the best damn fighting mechanics in the industry and at such an early time it's incredible. The Matrix Path of Neo. Another solid licensed game that is WAY better then it has any right to be. This game did a phenomenal job of recreating iconic scenes from the movies in playable form making you feel like Neo. The Legacy of Kain Blood Omen 2. Man what can I say about this game fantastic writing incredible gameplay Gorey visuals it was awesome this whole franchise is a lost gem we need to see a return. The Legacy of Kain Defiance. The last game in the series and arguably the best one. With even slicker combat mechanics gorgeous visuals and an engrossing story it was top notch. It was hands down incredibly good. Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance,Mortal Kombat Deception and Mortal Kombat Armageddon. These 3 right here the pinnacle of the MK franchise when Mortal Kombat made the leap to full 3D it was absolutely incredible brutal fatalities incredible and varied game modes like cart racing chest Kombat and a full on rpg it was insane the amount of content pumped into these games. Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks. Another incredible entry in the MK franchise but this time stepping away from the fighting game genre into that of a full 3D beat em it was a blast and insanely incredible to play. The Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay. Another awesome licensed game that is way better then it has any right being worked on by Vin Diesel and his very own development team at Tigon Studios is was an incredible first-person action RPG with visuals that rivaled Doom 3 before Doom 3 had even come out a great story and awesome gameplay. It was an absolutely stunning experience. This list here is literally just of incredible Original Xbox games and this isn't even all of them had I added Xbox 360 games I could be here all day suffice it to say the Xbox brand has had some of the most incredible video games this industry has ever seen developed for it. Xbox has solidified itself as as a standout brand in the gaming industry delivering us some of the most incredible experiences ever seen with it's hardware here's to another 20 years of Xbox.

Licensing is the main reason we'll never see Scarface: The World is Yours and that Breaks my Heart because I LOVE that game on the PS2.

Gta 3,gta vice city,rainbow six 3 and the ghost recon series are the biggest snubs for me

The ones that hurt the most are Eternal Sonata, Alpha Protocol, LOTR: The Third Age, Ninja Blade, Chronicles of Riddick and The Saboteur. Other's I'd love to see are Singularity, Condemned 1 & 2, Arx Fatalis, Two Worlds II and Dead Rising. There's a bunch of licensed games I knew we weren't gonna get though, like Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Transformers: War for Cybertron, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Spider-Man: Edge of Time and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Still, they've done an amazing job.

Luckily, Oddworld made the list. However, I wish all of Xbox’s 1st party and published games would have made the list especially the redundant games like Halo, Fable, and Voodoo Vince. I also wish the MechAssault, Scooby-Doo, and Rainbow Six games made the cut.

I'll never get rid of my X360 Elite because on top of playing all of the incredible 360 catalogue (along with many underrated titles like Singularity), it also plays so many OG XBOX games! My only gripes are that it cannot play Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2/Defiance, Stranger's Wrath and Jedi Outcast.

The guitar hero series is completely stuck on the 360 generation and that is a shame. Those games were huge when I was growing up and I would love to play guitar hero 3 on my Xbox series x.

X-men Origins Wolverine is such a great game. I passed it on my 360 about 6 months ago. It would've been cool to have it back compat on xbox one/ series x, but that's why I take care and keep my old systems, so that I'll always be able to go back and play old games or try a game for the first time if it's not back compat. Still hopeful that Xbox will add more bc games to the library in the future tho, definitely the best way to experience old games

It saddens me that so many old classics (like Brute Force and 007 Everything or Nothing) will never be made backwards compatible.

My very first 360 game was Eternal Sonata. It's a great title and it's a shame it's been so ignored.

Man that Wolfenstein by Raven is fantastic and if you are going to pick that one then you should have also put Wolfenstein Return to Castle Wolfenstein for the Original Xbox and Quake 4 on the Xbox 360. All these games should have definitely 100% been made backwards compatible.

Microsoft Totally bull shitted about not being able to get Dead or Alive Volleyball Backwards Compatible. Enclave, Narc, The Suffering 1 & 2. Super Surprised the did Manhunt.

As great as Xbox has been with backwards compatibility, it's very unfortunate how much of a hole is left due to licensing and other issues. While there is a lot of great stuff there already, for me, the biggest exclusions are Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Sonic '06 to round out the complete Sonic series. The Spider-Man games are another huge one with how popular Spider-Man is and just how much cool stuff came from the 360 gen like Web of Shadows, Shattered Dimensions, and The Amazing Spider-Man. Wolverine was also incredible. And despite having the first one, it really bugs me they don't have Army of TWO: The 40th Day which was easily the best one in the series.

Some OG Xbox games i would of loved to see are Hunter the Reckoning Redeemer, Predator Concrete Jungle, Alter Echo, MK Shaolin Monks, NFL Street 2, Tao Feng Fist of the Lotus, Pac Man World 2 just to name a few that come to mind that they left out.

I feel snubbed that Operation Flashpoint Elite from the OXB never made the cut. The only true full milsim ever made for the console. It had everything. Free roam, a complete level editor, excellant campaign including Operation Flashpoint Resistance. A real tragedy.

Silent Hill 2 is one of the biggest snubs. I was really hoping it'd be possible eventually, but I'm positive that game will never be available on modern systems ever again thanks to Konami losing the source code.

There was a really good arcade flight shooter on 360 called Project Sylpheed. It was made by Square Enix so it was full of all the anime stuff their games are known for. Super underrated game that should be a much bigger series.

My #1 is Midway Arcade Treasures, it had over 20 classic arcade games like Defender, Joust, Marble Madness and even 3-player Rampage!

Both Activision Wolfenstein games (RtCW and Wolf 2009) would be great nostalgia trips. I'm glad somebody else agrees that game is so underrated!! MechAssault would be awesome too! Some other Activision games I wish to see are CoD Finest Hour and CoD2: Big Red One, and don't forget Tony Hawk's Underground! ATV Quad Power Racing 2 would be awesome but I understand it's a licensing nightmare, sick soundtrack!

One game I never amd I mean NEVER hear people talk about when it comes to original xbox games is phantom crash. I can't reccomend it enough. A fast paced arena mech shooter with such deep customization of your mech it was called the forza of mech games back in the day. Matty if you've never heard of this game please check it out. This game needs more recognition.

A lot of the BC games have major issues "running" on the series S/X. I hope they clear up all the problems. Wasn't Death Row BC on the 360? I thought it was. Pretty sure that's why it's still in my collection.

I was really hoping Persona 4 Arena Ultimax would be made back compat. The first P4 Arena is already back compat, but Ultimax is much better and way too good of a fighting game to be left on 360/PS3.

I would’ve really liked the 360 versions of Batman Arkham Asylum and City to have been made backwards compatible. I know it’s common for people to think there’s no point when you can go play the remaster but even then publishers like EA and Ubisoft allow people to play older versions of their games despite a remaster but WB seem well against it for some reason.
