Absolutely does. I just acquired a Halo 5 edition xbox one console from ebay (beautiful condition but wasn't functioning for $60). So as soon as I got it I disassembled it, cleaned it, fixed it, and installed a 2Tb sata ssd. Works flawlessly and looks awesome. The cold boot time is dramatically improved as well as game loading times. I had an xbox one prior to this one and this one runs much smoother thanks to the ssd upgrade. Don't believe people who tell you it doesn't make a difference because it 100% does.

It definitely does imo as well boots and loads way quicker. It was a welcome change and with SSD’s continuing to drop in price it’s a cheap upgrade for those who can’t afford a new console or just want the best out of what they have

That's in standby mode. If you do a full shutdown through setting then it'll take this long. But a update is coming out that decreases the xbox icon boot up by 9 seconds.

SSD is useless with a 80 pin IDE ribbon that has a 133mbps max speed. It only increases speeds with SATA ribbon. A SSD formatted to FAT32 has about 32kbps speed.

My biggest regret was trading my 360 in for an Xbox One. The boot times were abysmal.

I’ve been playing on series X for about a year and a half now and the upgrade was so massive from Xbox one that I could never go back bro. Graphics looks like real life, load times are amazing, better controller, quick resume and a massive hard drive. Let me tell you bro, going from Xbox one which is 30fps at like 900p to SX which is 60fps in 4k is just life changing for gaming bro.

Literally isn’t that what happens when stuff gets old? Your xbox one most likely has a full hdd clear some space or reset it. But microsoft isn’t to blame for your lack of maintenance.

I'm pretty sure the One S does have SATA III I could be wrong but I do know that the PS4 and PS4 Slim only have SATA II while PS4 Pro and Xbox One X do have SATA III

Vato esa comparacion es nada, osea solo para que te des una idea de la potencia, solamente la xbox one casi duplicaba o triplicaba la potencia de la 360, solo en componentes, y la xbox one s ya alcanzaba a la ps4 que era casi el doble de potencia que una one normal, ahora una xbox one x, tenia casi 1.5 veces la potencia de una xbox one s, y ahora la xbox series x es casi 4 veces mas potente que una xbox one x, por lo que estariamos hablando que una sola xbox series x es igual de potente a 24 xbox 360 12 xbox one 6 xbox one s Y 4 xbox one x Y eso que la xbox 360 era sino me equivoco era de 2 a 5 veces mas potente que una clasica, dependiendo la version.

if you are a hardcore gamer and want to play on 4k 60-120fps buy the xbox series x it has performance,speed,and alot of games that will run smooth unlike xb 1 but,if your just a casual gamer or just play some light games i dont think buying next gen is needed:)
