Yep. I notice some multiplayer games with a single player mode is unplayable once the game isnt popular anymore and the servers get turned off ! After you've dropped serious coin on levels, upgrades ect

It's just the principle of releasing unfinished games. In most cases it isn't bad but some like wwe 2k20, dragon age, mass effect Andromeda, etc were unplayable. It's all about deadlines and money and not customer/gamer happiness. It's not as bad as loot boxes, yikes. I remember buying the game meant buying everything the game had to offer. If I wanted to download patches I'd get a pc

Harley Deuce if you got a ps4 just set up rest mode it will download it while your away. No big deal. Not sure about Xbox though.

Harley Deuce Xbox and ps4 are designed to be on for long periods of time without taking damage. My ps4 is a stock one I got at Walmart since it’s launch, and performance wise it hasn’t gone down in the years I have had it. I always leave it on rest mode for weeks at a time so I don’t think putting your Xbox on sleep mode for half the week should make much of a difference. But who knows I’m not too versed on Xbox hardware as much as I am Sony so I can’t say but from what I have read that seems to be the case.

But there was a reason for console wars before? There were actually quite different from one another. Now PS4 and Xbox One is basically the same but limited by software that forbids them from actually doing the same things. If Microsoft and Sony wanted they could allow crossplay, make controllers be able to connect to both, and games interchangeable since they use the same format. They won't though because money.

Growing up, I was a Nintendo fanboy. In my teens, I was a Playstation fanboy. In my early 20's, I was a Xbox fanboy. Then I got a PC.

Same here, my brother, sister and me put all our Birthday money together, saved just a little bit more for a few games and today we're still almost everyday playing, Borlderlands, Halo, AC, Witcher, Just Cause, you name it. That's how we spent time together as a family and we really do connect like that. I've bought myself a PS4 in winter 2019 (I was working at GameStop around that time and got a 25% to 30% off of hardware, software and merch as an employee, hehe) because I wanted to play Bioshock, TLOU, Uncharted and all the other PS4 Classics, but honestly it's not the same

Some Kid Who Cares No and yes... The eye doesn't see in pixels. There is a lot of top down processing that leads to a complete picture. Basically, your eye has a very minute area of focus that moves as your eyes move over short intervals and your brain filters things like your nose out of the picture while condensing multiple images into a "picture". Although careful saying that because unlike a camera your eye continuously brings in move info to process whats in front of you.

I used an Xbox One for the first time yesterday. I was at a friend's house, and we wanted to watch a DVD on his roommate's Xbone. And it was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with a game console. I'm not kidding, it took us 20 minutes just to figure out how to do that. Turns out, you have to go to the Store, look up "Blu-ray player," install the app, and because we messed up, we had to go back to the home screen and figure out where the hell the app went. We even tried reinserting the disc to see if it would automatically pull the app up, and it doesn't. Then, after all that, the damn thing wouldn't play the DVD. Why it doesn't have a DVD/Blu-ray player already installed, I'll never know. I just know that I much prefer the PS4's "Insert the disc and I'll take you directly to the thing you need to select" feature.

DOAMA Sony is much much worse than MS in those regards. Microsoft does good things live bring exclusives to PC and you bash them for it. Sonybots worship of Sony is much worse than Xbox fans towards MS.

DOAMA i mean, pc will always be far better than any console for obvious reasons but this generation's xbox was pretty trash compared to playstation and especially to the previous generations. the only real reason to buy a console are the exclusives and xbox has only 3 decent exclusives left: -halo(a big part of the fanbase doesn't care that much anymore) -gears of war -forza(the best game of its kind of niche genre) while playstation has got more juicy exclusives.

IGalaxy X as someone who plays on both console and pc i already said that pc is far better than any console, but pc's exclusive are not as good as console exclusives imo. xbox one x has the true 4k resolution for double to triple the price of the base console... for the same price you can get a kind of decent pc that you won't need to throw away in 1-2 years and spend another 5-600 $ for the new console. as i said, the only real reason to buy a console are the exclusives and nier, persona, yakuza, infamous, uncharted, the last of us, bloodborne, horizon zero dawn, god of war, the new spider man game and a bunch of anime games seem like a good enough reason to get a ps4 instead of an xbox (unless you love racing games, then get an xbox just for forza cause it's actually amazing for racing game fans).

TruthHurts halo 5, sunset overdrive, rare replay, forza horizon 2, forza mcc, forza motorsport 5 and 6 cannot be found on any PC client. Xbox play anywhere isn't a reliable client that to play all the rest of those titles. nor do people have computers that can run quantum break (which is a bad PC port anyway), gears 4, forza horizon 3, or halo wars 2. not to mention 360 and og Xbox exclusives
