I don't know why I have this sick sense of comfort knowing so many people share my pain

EVERYONE EXPERIENCING THE SAME "EXACT" PROBLEM I HAD IN THIS VIDEO LISTEN UP, unplugging and waiting 2 to 10 mins at a time and trying to turn it back on over and over will not do anything!!! You're only wasting your own time and getting your hopes up, so everyone in the comment section saying "unplug everything and wait 2 mins, 10 mins, 5 mins, it's all bullshit. They clearly did not have the problem you are experiencing that i had as well. What happened was the power brick blew up, that's the best description. What you need to do is buy a new one, go on Amazon and I'll probably run you around 45$ dollars max to get the same identical one. An once you get it make sure when you use this one go to settings and make sure power saving mode is enabled so the same problem doesn't happen AGAIN, because without that mode being on your Xbox never technically "shuts off". Best of luck.

just happened to me now... random ass thunderstorm erupted over my house and one lightning strike BAM my power box dies and my Xbox won't turn on.

I just had the same thing happen to me. Make sure the prongs are not bent when you plug the power cord into the console. This is what I found and it is now working fine.

Hope that helps that's what I've been doing every time for the past year also if you have the issue where when you plug in the brick the Xbox shuts it down completely your going to have to barely put the wires in the back of the Xbox you'll know the sweet spot because the light won't go out and then hold the hair dryer over the vent where your heat sync is top of the Xbox big vent untill it comes on

My power brick is just solid orange, and my xbox is literally just dead and won't turn out with everything is plugged in. even if it's connected to an outlet or a wall.

Unplug the power brick wait like 15 seconds plug it back in but when you go to put the cable in the Xbox don't put it in all the way and let the power brick short out then it should turn white, that's what worked for me

I just purchased a new power brick from Amazon. They have them specifically for X Box One, and they are under $50.00.

For those who have this exact problem, what I did, after waiting 2 days, I unplugged the power box from the xbox and from the wall (Yes, both), I waited for 10 seconds, and then I just connected it again but just to the wall, (At that point the power box should have a yellow light) Leave it like 10 minutes, and then connect it to the xbox and try to turn it on again, it should work, It worked for me (If this doesn't work, i'm sorry)

Also another tip get your Xbox unplug everything and put it in the micro wave or oven then smash it on the ground then replug it worked tell me if you found this solution useful

It experienced a power surge before( hurricane Harvey) My controller turns on but doesn’t turn on Xbox. 10 second plug trick doesn’t work. We had a recent storm that killed our land lines, cable boxes, and WiFi routers, but TVs still work. A disc is still inside it. I don’t have enough money to get a new one. I think it’s permanently dead.

I sent my xbox one in to the repair center with the same problem as this. I waited 2-3 weeks for them to send back my xbox back with the same problem. Idk what to do now. I even went to the support section and did mainly everything dealing with power supply.

HEY! You! Reading the comments now! I don't know who you are, but if you're reading this I figured out what the problem was with my power supply and I fixed it. I don't know if this will help you, but it's worth an attempt. My power supply refused to turn itself on due to an excessive amount of dust trapped inside, I used a toothpick and a can of compressed air to push it out, and it seems to be working fine now! My guess is it refused to turn on due to a fire hazard safety issue? If yours refuses to turn on, it might be worth checking if it's full of dust before you go on amazon and buy a new one. Best of luck.

I fixed this! Happened to me today. Same issue same light thing. But I got it going. I wasn't covered by warranty so I figured the hell with it I'll take the power supply brick apart. (you wont have to do this) Basically I unplugged the power supply then waited. I then plugged the brick portion of the power supply into the xbox without the socket portion. Then I just followed another youtuber (cant remember his name sorry) I grabbed the socket side cable and gently sat it just outside of the brick connection.you then watch for the lights on the brick and carefully giggle the two connections until you hear that clicking sound of electricity. It took me 5 minutes of basically making the bricks lights come on and off until a little click happened in my xbox and the light went orange than to white on the brick.just look up that guys video a pictures worth a thousand words. Hope this help's I was sure I was going to have to get a new xbox or power supply cable.

i have this same problem. most likely what happened is there was a power surge that broke it. what you want to do is get a good surge protector and new power brick. just be happy it didnt damage the xbox itself

check the prongs on the plug,I just opened my up just a little so it can make better contact in the outlet and it worked, after I tried all these different options.

Hello everyone, I had the same problem and because on my country Xbox has not support, I decided to open my power supply, thanks to that I realized that the fan cable was improperly connected. After connecting well my source came to life.

And in this case since you're not getting any power to the system is not making any noise when you push the power button take the faceplate off and check your Ribbon cable

Unplug then insert cord just a bit till the cord touches the prongs and makes a noise, shake it a bit, and the light should turn on, plug it in all the way and you should be good, that worked for me

Here’s a tip. Try putting the X-Box in a fire pit. Once the X- Box is in ashes put it in a zip lock bag. Once done put back into wall with 100 lbs of tnt stuck around x box. Once done, explode everything, then go to the store, buy a new Xbox, then your problem is fixed.

best bet is to leave it plugged in play with the power on the console for 1min then wait 10min press the power on your console again it should turn on if not , it looks like all u need is a new power brick

Did you figure it out, or did you buy a new psupply? Had a power outage for almost 12 hours followed by a couple surges and tried to play tonight and NOTHING like yours except no light at all whatsoever for our brick.

If any of you have this problem use your Xbox 360 power brick it's made with better quality but make sure you keep it clean to to much dust can jams the condenser that what makes the power flow but to save u buying a whole new Xbox just use your 360

hi I’m really scared because the power box was unplugged so I plugged it back in and I only got a split second flash of orange. At first I thought nothing of it so I tried loading into a battlefield 1 game of conquest, everything was fine until we voted for the next map which was Monte Grappa, it was taking longer than usual for other maps and me being the idiotic impulsive person that I am, unplugged the power brick while it was loading. Mine did this because i had a bit of a rage moment and turned it off by the plug, luckily mine was plugged into an extension lead. So i plugged the main power supply into the main socket. Try switching plugs that may work.

this happens because a power surge flows through and the brick won't let you turn the xbox on so it don't effect the inside of it

I'm not saying it will work for everyone but my power brick wouldn't even light up so I unplugged everything let it sit there for 2 minutes and plugged it back up and it worked best of luck to you all

the problem is if u open up the xbix there's a little cable on the top part where u take it off that unplugged from a little gap u pituitary back in there and put the covers back on and it should work that's what I did with mine

I had a xbox one power supply that had this same exact problem, turned out that it was a fried rectifier diode and a shorted transistor that was connected to the 12v rail. When the xbox one AC adapter is connected from the wall (AC main) it activates a 5vsb and when it connects to the back of the console via. the proprietary plug it shorts the 5vsb and pwron lines together activating the 12v rail. Since there is a short on your 12v rail the power light on the brick goes out preventing the xbox to power on. It is fixable but I would recommend taking it to a professional to have it fixed, OEM Xbox one AC power supplies have 2x 270v 470uf electrolytic capacitors on the AC side of the pcb before rectification to dc current. There is a bleeder resistor connected to these capacitors but there is no guarantee the resistor will properly discharge it. Without the proper discharging tools you are dealing with a current that can cause serious harm or death.

What I did is just don't mess with it for a day than good back unplugged it and plugged it back in and it works

Snow storm made our power keep flickering and my Xbox kept turning off. Eventually I got fed up so I left without even trying to turn it back on. Three hours later the power was back to normal but my HDMI signal is completely lost for my Xbox! My Xbox wont even flicker! It is completely and utterly frustrating! cleaning your contacts of your power box and blow into it will work as well

i had this problem was an easy fix, all i did was 1. turn it on without it being plugged into the console an orange light should come on 2.leave it till the brick goes blank 3. try starting the xbox

Shouldn't plug devices directly into the wall. Use a surge protector or better yet a ups brick. This may help prevent it from happening again. Gl

what I just did was go to the brik took the power plug half way out made sure I heard some popping noise as it's Orange. went to the power plug on the Xbox and pushed them nothing at the same time to turn it White. did that a few times and it turned on.

Just happened to me as well. I was watching the office and loud pop came from it. Most likely blew the fuse. Hopefully my console is fine.

Just happened to me but it was because of a power surge now it will do nothing not even when I unplug and plug in the power supply just nothing. My thought is that you have a bad outlet so try moving it around

The latest xbox one update fucked me over because it downloads and then it has to restart to apply the update. but for me it never restarts. it has "NO LIGHT!" so i unplug the power supply, wait a bit, and then i can finally turn on my xbox. but i have to download the update again and the process happens over and over.

My is different. Ok when I play Call of duty, my Xbox one completely shut off by it self so when I go check what the hell happen my power brick has no Orange light and my Xbox won't turn on when I press it so what I did is I unplug the power brick and and the plug from the back of the Xbox and wait it for like an a hour and plug it and it turn on. Your power brick needs to be replaced according to Microsoft a solid orange light means it’s working and a blinking or one that turns off means it’s dead

Unplug the plug the power brick wire that plugs to the wall. Wiggle it back in. The light turns white and my Xbox turned on.
