I imagine that the Bluetooth MAC address is filtered by sony to allow only Sony and Sony approved 3rd party controller to connect AND work properly

Just press the Xbox button then click you profile PlayStation assigns each player to a specific controller and for example when use controller dies and u want to switch to a different one when u turn it on it asks you witch profile/player you want to controll that way if u have two people on the same console they can control their independent controller to player your ps4 controller was still connected to that profile all you need to do is once it is connect turn off the Xbox controller and turn it back on when u do that it will ask if u want to controll your profile

Should try plugging it in via micro-usb after connecting via bluetooth. Probably won't work but that would be my next move.

try to update the firmware with the xbox accesories app. it enable android pairing support. maybie it will work after that.

I wanted to make this work so bad that I actually took apart the PS4 and Xbox controller and switched everything that's in the PS4 controller and installed it in the Xbox controller lol. Now it works.

Seeing from a couple of people in the comments that this actually might be a possibility. I have a PS4 but have very little experience into utilizing it. Getting my Xbox One S Tuesday. Can anyone leave any explicitly clear directives as to how to attempt this? I'm actually super stoked for this.

Hi, i dont have a console but i do game on my PC.Basically there are two different input methods with controllers. Xbox controllers use Xinput (on PC and Xbox) while DS4/3 or even 2 uses the older Directinput.The PS4 knows xbox one s controller as a controller because of the device id that is on the xbox controller.Basically if someone can find a way to change or convert Xinput to directinput that ps4 uses on its controller it will be possible(on a pc or a ps4 that can run whatever the user wants(like a jtag xbox 360)(which its OS hasnt cracked/broken yet) But i havent seen anybody convert Xinput to directinput on a console. (Because the operation system does not allow for modifications etc.)

It not work because PS4 use "old API" DirectInput and xbox use "new API" X-Input. This is why we need to use software on Windows to use PS4 controller with recent game on PC

the PS4 controller is still not up to the job its always been that way it's like a kid's toy no weight to it and the sticks are too floppy, I have a PS4 pro and although the games are excellent the design of the machine and its controller are not user-friendly. i hope the PS5 is going to be better.

Harri T Something tells me you didn't read the label on the box but unfortunately the Xbox One Elite controller does not support Bluetooth only the one S controller supports Bluetooth 3.0

I doesnt work cause xbox and ps controllers have different singnals. It maybe works if you have a software in your playstation but i dont believe ps will make that software.

That is wrong, it works if assigned to a user. They are both bluetooth.
