I thought I saw every episode of this show but I never saw the part with John playing kickball. I love this show and I admire how they grew John's character rather than keep him a one joke background character. The "Pa-Hehggy...Hill" scene has always been my favorite. The other is Hank's discomfort when John cries in front of him. And the best reply to John was Joseph's disappointed, "a used knife" when John hands down a family heirloom. King of the Hill is such a great show.

You know the relationship between Dale and John Redcorn is so well written. It's cringey, heartwarming, and ultimately heartbreaking. John Redcorn has continually disrespect Dale, but Dale has always respected John Redcorn. Dale helped John Redcorn with his band, his solo career, getting his own land, and even calls John Redcorn by his full name almost at all times. It was so great to see him apologize to Dale (and the viewers knowing what he was really apologizing for)...but still.

It's demonstrated time and again that Dale is overly suspicious except in situations where he actually should be, not just with Nancy but with other things. (that or he is suspicious but reaches the wrong conclusion, like when he thinks Joseph is an alien) I don't see any reason to believe that Dale is lying to Nancy when he says that he believes John Redcorn is her gay friend.

In the end, Dale truly wins. Fact is? He knew about John Redcorn and Nancy, he always knew. But he wins in the end. John Redcorn will never know the love of being a father, he will always be forced, for his entire life, to watch his son call another man, “dad”, and give undivided love towards Dale, as Joseph will always and only accept Dale as his true and only father. John Redcorn will die heirless. Nancy will be forced to raise Joseph as her and Dale’s son, lest she lose it all, even in backwards anti-men divorce and alimony courts. I pose you this question; what does Dale have to gain by outing it or breaking it up? Nancy, for all intents and purposes, loves Dale and supports him, despite a lack of performance in certain areas. Dale is secure and okay with not being able to satisfy Nancy is some ways, because John Redcorn can do that for him. Joseph loves and respects Dale as his one and only father, and will never look John Redcorn's way as an adult, nor carry on the traditions John holds so dear. Dale is _happy_ with the dynamic they share. John Redcorn is _miserable_ because of it. Dale knows, and has nothing to gain, and everything to lose. He's happy with that.

John Redcorn was just tired that night, and didn't want to sleep with Nancy or _anyone_ that night, and he never brings anything like that up again. As for the pornstar thing, he was _going_ to go there, presumably for an award or because he got an invite, but the HIlls had to leave Bobby with him, so he couldn't. He understood though, it seems... As for the massage thing, he _does_ legitimately have that as an occupation, as well as running some Native American stuff on his land once Dale helped with that. Peggy went to him, and he is listed as a legitimate massage business, as did Hank (that was _way_ too awkward for both of them), and Dale even went to him to help him get his land back, but got a crick in his neck, so John gave him some free neck rubs to help him out.
