Would have been more enjoyable without the blatant splice. Attacks Blacksite on March 31st. Come out of it and it is May 8th now Avatar progress has gone from 3/12 to 12/12, the second row, first left on the Avenger gone from starting to be excavated to being done, the shadow chamber built and the original codex shadow chamber research completed (despite the fact that supposedly we just saw our first codex, and more regions are already unlocked so we can go straight into the gate mission? Plus, the Blacksite mission ends with an enemy still there and none of the soldiers near the evac zone?

Thankyou for XCOM 2 currently on 1245 hours playing, back on Ironman mode with war of the chosen yesterday lost dragonov cracked the shits so I’ll be starting a new Ironman run , obviously love the game hope one day there with an XCOM 3 thx again

Take a look at a no major glitches run then. It's exactly what it says on the tin. This right here is the heart of speedrunning. The joy of it is admiring just how insanely people can shatter a game rather than how fast you can play as intended.

@@syferpolski4344 That's a GDQ or ESA run. These are the devs just kinda freaking out over breaking things typically. Granted in this one they figured it out. It's the soldier's name matching ones in the bonus missions so the game thinks they are one and the same.

So the first war is canonicaly lost. Second one is canonicaly won, but you wake up and the world doesn't look the same. X-com3 started. Aliens got time travel thing and rewrote the history. Commander the only one who remember things, b/c he is basicaly half alien at this point. You do the x-com stuff, beat the game and get the device back. You press the button and go back to the original divergence in time.. exept you didn't. Dark twist is that time travel doesn't work on single dimention rules, as you lead to belive. Instead it operates on multy-dimention rules. I.e. aliens didn't change the time in the original world (and abuse causality rules), they jumped universe, and player unintentionaly got drugged in with them. You thing the you jump in time, but in reality it was jump in time and universe. You landed at the alien free world, unknown to the comander, but familiar to the player. In this moment of the past there is only one right decision you can make, changing the history forever. You go into Firaxis HQ, and tell Jack Salamon to never take the Marvel gig. Under a gun point if needed. Thus ensuring creation of the X-com3, and entrusting the destenty of the lost world to the millions of players. This is a gambit you take as commander. Since it is possible to connect "fake real" and '"real" worlds, this link can be used in reverse. And one of the gamers will actualy direct the actions of the Commander in alternative world, whom place the og Commander accidently took.

It bothers me that the game mechanics are so simple and yet we didn't have a game like this for Nintendo 64, Game Boy advanced, or PlayStation 2. It's not a format that requires stellar graphics.

Not only was Rebelstar: Tactical Command on the GBA, it was even designed by someone from the UFO Defense team, though it wasn't able to implement basebuilding.

Err, over an hour?! How is this a speedrun???! Couldn’t they just do a few BLJs or something and glitch in to the ending in like 5 minutes…that’s what’s I’d have done 😎

XCOM 2 campaigns are very, very long. In typical play, even single missions can take over an hour, and on the highest difficulty you get like 60-70 missions per campaign.
