It's basically free Call of Duty without taking over all your hard drive space.

The game is pretty decent, but Ubisoft needs to balance some of the weapons and abilities.

This game is more fun that it deserved to be. That's basically all you need to know. Nothing makes it stand out, it may even be missing stuff, and yet when you play it you want more.

Is just like old cods without skill base matchmaking, I'm having a lot of fun with it.

It's a great game, a little overwatch, a lot call of duty but it's own ubisoft multiverse

It is lacking in things like sound design for one example BUT there is something here that makes me keep playing. It’s also free so it’s hard to complain. Is it perfect? No. Is it fun? Yes. Overall I’ve been enjoying it.

Not a cod killer but still glad it exists. It does lack soul. A lot still needs fixing and improvement. For me the sound design is terrible, and the hit reg can be quite off at times. Not to mention lack of rewarding progression, streaks, etc. anything that really makes Cod addicting.

As a Hijack Dedsec player, there is plenty to hack. Running a class that also has EMP grenades make it a total shutdown unit, even when your abilities are on cooldown. Shields, Health Stations, Bouncing Betties. There is enough to hack to give opportunity to put opponents in very unexpected and uncomfortable positions, while rendering the value of their ability to nothing. Whether you hack it for your own team to shoot back through the shield, or to steal healing, or just lob a grenade to save that ability for a more promising hack, Dedsec is one of the strongest units in the game. Also, Spider do be fun, but I’m defending hijack here!!! Ontop of that, the range on the hack is RIDICULOUS compared to even the intel suit. It’s not crossmap, but if you get eyes on a barrier from across an opening, you can absolutely flip the tables on an enemy that is hunkered down and getting agro.

Wow they actually pointed out how overpowered the sniper is. Nice!

Took me only 14-15 hours, or 2 hours per day, to unlock DeadSec

The inconsistency in TTK or dying around corners is what's killing my experience. Bullet registration is all over the place.

Totally fair review, its a great turn your brain off and shoot game. All for free and 30gb is just amazing. Hopefully it keeps going in the right direction

SBMM wasn’t touched on and the matchmaking system is what is making it so fun to come back to. It’s a breath of fresh air

People keep complaining about the guns being hard to level and sh1t but you comparing it to cod that is a game that only lasts a year before they sell you the same sh1t, Xdefiant isn’t a yearly resale of the same sh1t, it should take longer to do everything!

How are people struggling to unlock weapon attachments? They have boosters AND just had double XP over the holiday weekend. AND Ubisoft has challenges you can complete for EVEN MORE weapon boosters.

This might be one of the most objectively wrong reviews I’ve ever seen IGN make. The entire specialist argument was entirely wrong and came down to him simply not knowing how to use them. They are balanced great and you have plenty of time and counters, they are very much a huge factor in every encounter.

The match making and maps are pretty rough. Sometimes you get into a game where the entire enemy team never dies and steam rolls you. Other times you get a bad map and the other team just has an easier time winning objectives

It's solid but needs a lot of work, also no killcam or prone stance really holds it back, but for free it's hard to complain

An enjoyable game for people who have dropped off the yearly Call of Duty releases. Its fun. Nothing groundbreaking. Enjoyed it with my friends.

"A lot of the abilities are just a non-factor." - Uhm, no! Have you ever tried playing Occupy where the enemy team has a healer ult up, a couple of shields, and a flamethrower ult? Try going into that and see if the abilities are a non-factor.

This game has been fun so far, Ubi needs to fix some stuff but I'd play this over COD for sure, it's way more fun.

From what I've gathered from this game, why play this over The Finals? This game feels like a less responsive version of The Finals mostly because of how the weapon and classes work. So far, there is no reason to play any class that's not the Singa class because he has more health and since all the classes get the same weapons, there is no reason to not choose the class with the most health and the weapon that does the most damage. From what I've also gathered, using the Lmg feels the same as the sniper and the mp5. It has no reduced ads speed, no reduced mobility, and it has more ammo. There is no reason to choose something like the mp5 or m4a1 over the lmg since it has better damage, more ammo, and has no drawbacks. Compared to Cod or The Finals, you can see some balancing issues. At least with The Finals, weapons with more damage are locked behind classes so higher DPS is pocked behind the Light class which has less health but higher speed, while burst damage is locked behind the heavy class which has more health but is the lowest of all classes. So why play this game over The Finals?

Best shooter ive played in awhile. Maps are eye candy. That fresh off the shelf new kicks. Game is just on another level. FPS smoothie. Kind of like the next overwatch but different style. Has a rainbow six feel. Game is produced by original call of duty producer mark rubin. (Modern warfare 1 and 2) Original Executive producer of Infinity Ward.

Hoping they at a mode similar to CoDs Ground War or Battlefield. 🤞

Make sure you stay in the welcome playlist as long as possible. Its a different, way worse game in regular matchmaking. The kangaroo hopping is unhinged and beyond frustrating

The gun sound design isn’t punchy enough and therefore doesn’t feel as satisfying to play. This can definitely be improved though so not a dealbreaker but just makes me less inclined to play for now

It’s not cod but has the same garbage issues if OP factions with 120 health, sniping is too easy, and the wonderful hit detection and bullets around corners. It’s 100% cod.

Needs to be fixed on pc. Haven’t played a full game yet with 2 hours of in game time it crashes every game. No error or anything just closes.

It feels like a cheap 3d printed call of duty clone.

The game is great overall and hopefully they will continue to grow the experience to something more unique. Right now it feels like Burger King if call of duty is McDonald's.

I'm still upset they've yet to fix their netcode issues which have been plaguing the game ever since the first playtest.

Sniper is not 1 shot anywhere ( only headshots ) , completely false , if you sniped on this game , you know half of your landed shots if not more , is likely a hit marker. Players complaining about it , just have skill issue
