It's not misleading. The Torna story is actually in there. It just comes with a code for the Xpass, to incentivise you to buy the full game.

Xenoblade X is a spiritual successor, in that it uses the same concepts, and there's some cool easter eggs referencing XC1. XC2 isn't really a sequel to 1 though, and without any spoilers for any of the games, XCX could theoretically just be another sequel in the same way that XC2 could be a sequel.

I remember hearing somwhere it was 10+ hours so yeah. I hope you can mix and match both parties after beating both stories though, would love to have Morag fight by Hugo's side. Though one thing i hope they add is a nopon blade. It felt weird there wasn't even one.

It may be a DLC but it has its own physical version. Its based off Xenoblade 2 having some characters we all know, but other than that its a whole new game.

In BotW’s defense, that final dungeon and boss battle was pretty sweet. I know we all wanted more actual story, but let’s face it, BotW was never really about story. It was all gameplay and exploration. It probably would have been easier to make a story-centric DLC if the game was more story oriented to begin with. Pretty much everyone was dead in BotW.

So we can play as Addam, Mythra, Jin, Lora, Haze/Fan, Hugo, Brighid, Aegaeon, possibly Mikhail, and an unknown character (Who looks like he could actually be Cole when he was younger, potentially). Also, if I'm interpreting the icons correctly, Addam will be Lightning type, Lora will be Fire type, and Haze will be Wind type (The name "Fan" now seems more appropriate). Damn. Edit: People have confirmed that the unknown character is Cole. His Core Crystal, hairline, scar, etc., are the same as Cole's. Also, the datamine that happened about a month ago showed that there is Blade data for Jin, Malos, and Haze, so we could be able to use them in the main game (They'll probably be rewards for completing the new story).

it absolutely was crappy. One dungeon, a load of repeat content and a few shrines (including the master trials) made with the same tileset as the old ones is all we got. What few cutscenes we had were completely meaningless and added nothing to the plot or lore. The master cycle clearly used up a lot of the dev time.

Gasguzzler87 That makes sense; it seems like it would make Rex somewhat similar to Pokemon Trainer. Now that I think of it, including Lora & Jin could be more likely than having Addam. If they were to be added, I imagine they would function differently from Rex to account for the mechanics in this new game.

Awesome trailer, and I know that there wasn't any way around this, but I personally wanted them to downplay how big Malos is. Him turning out to be important was one of the best twists to me because of how much they underplayed it in the early game, and many wrote him off as generic grunt/assistant to Jin. So I feel a little bad for people who have yet to play this and may have been spoiled.

Agreed. I thought he was just a secondary character and they would follow the anime troupe where Jin the pretty silent boy would be the main antagonist while the tough loud Melos would be his sidekick.

In the end we got: A hard mode, a good dungeon, a motorbike, and some items. Everyone got their hopes up for more story content, but we barely got any.

Yeah I got my hopes up with the "more story" aspect, but then I realized that the main game story was told mostly through cutscenes of the past. If we got to play as Link or Zelda 100 years before the events of BOTW, giving us more about the champions, etc then this game would have been perfect.

people were hyped because they said the dlc would give us a new story. it didnt, just cutscenes about the champions not really doing much. in the end of the day, link is still an amnesiac and barely remembers his friends besides a few short interactions.

Screw Smash Bros, this is where it's at! I say this as someone who was impressed w/both and WASN'T disappointed w/Nintendo's showing at E3. It looks like they're taking the New Super Luigi U approach with this being purchasable as a stand alone game. That means it might almost as much content as the base game

LimHX gamer open world, side quests and Xenogears-like gameplay with two combat systems were very good. Story and grinding is bad, but at least XenoX its one of the few modern sci fi games.

So Amalthus WASN'T Praetor at the time of the Aegis Wars, the Emperor of Mor Ardain, Niall and Morag's ancestor, is a dead ringer for Niall, and Malos initially was a weapon FOR Indol. Also, Amalthus technically was working WITH Addam's group? This is quite interesting.

Yeah, remember old man Cole was Amalthus' blade, and he fought against Malos. You can see young Cole/Minoth here, he's the one with the dual blades/pistols.
