Entering Chapter 3 now... I played 9 hours yesterday and I completely agree "like a religious experience when a new Xenoblade releases" lol no other game grips me

What Iove most about XC3 so far, is that I actually have been relatively enjoying the side quests. I love building the affinity with colonies.

Agreed on the characters screaming out “break! Topple!” Etc. I didn’t realize how helpful that is for making a mental note about the combo status without having to look at the gauge

Yeah I bought the game yesterday, and was honestly absolutely blown away by the first four hours. I was NOT expecting to be gripped that strongly and that fast. I never jammed with XB2, the combat system and battles were a drag, and XB3 so far has struck a perfect balance in battles. Engaging, but not overly complicated like I found 2 was. Battles last long enough to keep you focused, but not too long. In XB2 I actively avoided overworld battles. Here I seek them out. 😄 Music is of course amazing, but that’s a given considering Mitsuda’s involvement. ❤️ Great voice acting and story so far is ridiculously engrossing. So happy with the first impression. An already tell this will be game of the year for me, against pretty tough competition! XB1 is the greatest RPG in the last 15 years, but so far, XB3 might actually be just as good. ❤️ They’ve made so many small QoL improvements that keep you in the game’s ebb and flow, and streamlined things that were detracting from the overall experience in the last game for me. Can’t wait to see how the story unfolds. Also, you earned a sub! ❤️

Hands down one of the best game I've ever played so far. The Story, The Characters, The Lore, Battle, Exploring, Music ect it has it all I've sunk 32 hours into it within the first 3 days & have done so much content but there is still so much more that I haven't done Highly recommend this game

Almost a masterpiece is a good way to describe my thoughts on Xenoblade 3. I think the gameplay is a great refinement of everything Xenoblade does gameplay wise and comes out amazing. The characters I care for a lot. The story is nice. Especially with all the call backs and references to the Xeno series. Which is where my issue comes in. It has all these acknowledgements to everything that came prior. Gears, Saga, X, and of course Xenoblades 1 and 2. Enough that it gives off the impression that it's a grand finale. But it doesn't feel like it amounts to anything. As nice as everything is, it feels more like a side story than a proper finale. Something I'm put off by because of all the aforementioned references giving off that vibe. Not to mention how later story beats almost seem to challenge the very basis of the Xeno series, and how it tends to repeat. Like it's trying to finally end Perfect Works, in the best way possible.

I'm 20 hours in and I am loving it so far. The combat is easily the best of the series. It basically merges and improves upon on the previous two games. And the characters are all so charming, even the two main Nopons!

We will get the story when we play it. Telling us the story is not going to be a factor when we buy it. I give the game a 9/10 (and Im 63 hours in! Something very cool happens deep in the game which I love!)

Is it true you can now have 6 party members in party? In the second one, you can only had 3 people. That’s pretty cool

Just finished 1 and it took a while for me to appreciate it and get the battle system going to my liking 2 I played for about 15 hours and plan to go back but it’s a little too much action rpg like for me 3 seems very cool but I’m only in 10 hours and don’t understand much yet. Loving the Megami Tensei graphics I’m a hardcore olsschool FF fan and I was i put down 12 because of the battle system and never came back to FF again This trilogy just might help me get back to that game and be ok with it

In what way does the textures look dated? Personally I think this is the best looking game I ever played. Not all games needs ridiculous amount of foliage so you can't see more than 3 meters in front of you to look good. Think texture work, color work, art style, texture work all blend together brilliantly to create a ridiculously good looking game. And yeah digital foundry seems to agree with me. :)

This game is huge and wonderful. For me, the entire trilogy is the best JRPG adventure in history after Suikoden 1 and 2. The only complaint I have is the design and the character of the main villain, it could be better (like Kefka in FF6 or Luca Birght in Sukoden 2). Additionally, the combos could evolve during the game, but apart from that, the game is almost perfect.

I like the final boss of XC 2 better (while I like the qol of XC 3, I feel more freedom in XC 2 for some odd reason). I dunno. Plus Poppi QT pi is the best since she can't be beat on XC 2 in terms of dps lmao. Also like that arcade mini game. The only thing I hate about XC 2 is the Gacha system.

im new to the fanbase this is my first xenoblade

Weeks before this came out I had just beat tales of arise and I gotta say that was the best looking RPG Ive ever played but Xenoblade offers a complete RPG experience with the excellent writing, a more open world experience with a ton of exploration, excellent OST, excellent character development throughout the, great enemy designs, I'm 50 hours in and only on chapter 4

I already played Xenoblade 2, should I play chronicles first than the 3rd? Or can I just play 3 first?

I never played one and two can I start with three?

I won't spoil anything, the game was amazing, but started to fall off near the end. I actually didn't like the main villain.

So first let me start with the fact that I really enjoyed Xenoblade 2 and Rex as a protagonist was he perfect, f*** no. was the storytelling good, questionable. did I enjoy the DLC? Yes and I wish the original game was exactly that but longer. I've more to say but I digress I've heard some people say that Noah is a much better protagonist than Rex and I wholeheartedly agree he feels a lot more human doesn't seem naive he doesn't feel like he's dragging people into his own selfishness or the selfishness that he does drag them into isn't something that is driven solely by selfishness where Rex was childish and was ill-prepared for the world outside of chilling on his Grandpa's back Noah feels for lack of a better term real, he doesn't feel like a character he feels like somebody who is experienced isn't blind to his own actions thinks before he acts and on the cases that he doesn't he owns up to it minor spoiler for mid-game-ish couple of the party members question Noah if he thinks that he is perfect and Noah wholeheartedly says no I'm human I make mistakes by no means do I believe that I am it's a perfect embodiment and it's at that point said characters tell him then you need to look from other people's perspectives because of him having not and making a member feel undermined in some of their thoughts. The rest of the party is a fantastic cast as well they have that same feeling that Noah has in that they feel like people of different views that have been forged bonds in shared strife.

This game hit weird for me. It starts out strong but then gets pacing issues that let me feeling like a lot really didn’t happen, then suddenly you have a huge info dump. I also felt the development between the character pairings was lacking, with a lot of moments that should have happened between them being given to other characters. With Sena being the worst of this and forcing a love triangle. The combat and graphics are fantastic but there are also tons of technical issues. I had the screen get fuzzy so many times and visible pixels that made it seem like I was playing the game through a poor stream. Then the camera made things incredibly difficult at times and it even get stuck within the environment. Then the usual Xenoblade environment jankiness is present. I even had tons of frame drops in areas where nothing is happening to cause that. It’s just a shame what’s good in the game is so high quality that the negatives hold it back.

I could say a lot that I don't like about the game I will probably just say a few for now. 1: The game stutters when there is either a crit attack or a change in aggro, I think it also stutters for other reasons can't remember what it was though. I find this really annoying and not fluent it feels like there is frame drops. 2: Its lost its sex appeal xenoblade 2 has. 3: The character designs aren't as good as the rare blades in xenoblade 2 4: There is no mechs you can use to fly around jump and transform into land vehicle and pilot around a large open world. To make exploration more fun! 5: The graphics aren't upgraded they just look the same as all the others. 6: It's not open world 7: I'm spending too much time in my inventory changing class and re-equipping per accessories, gems, arts etc.. per class as well. 8: You cannot control your addon hero 9: The outfits clothes are boring and cleaning is a silly waste of time game mechanic when it should have been armor damage instead, then I would understand clean/fix clothes otherwise dust and dirt should automatically fade when you jump in the water, or when it rains. 10: the game pauses when blowing the whistle for dead people on the world, pauses are annoying. ok I'm sure I can find more flaws in the game did I miss anything? The best in the series is Xenoblade Chronicles X then 1 then 2 then 3 it just got worse after X. Though I praise 2 for having a smaashing amount of cool sexy design characters with best storyline overall.

My switch is about 2 months old in my home. I just bought this game about a week ago. Haven't put it down since. Game is the SHIT across the board. A few gripes here and there but nothing that turns me away.

Just picked this up, going in totally blind and never played 1 or 2. 8 hours in and loving it! Except the terrible British accent! It just irratates me, so playing with Japanese voices.

From mixed bath scenes to down right promoting polygamy. How repulsive can this game get. At least it not as bad as the fan service in XC2. What a mess, this series needs to end especially with all the occult symbols... Such a shameless series of revolting games...

I'm 20 hours in and i hate this game, i don't understand why people like this game. The voice acting is so fking bad, its so cringe so you better go japanese instead. combat is ok but having 6(7) people in your party sucks, its just clutter, i really don't get it. The story is ok so far, nothing special, but are they 9 years old and die when they're 10? Or 19 and die at 20, i dont get that either. Yes this is my first xenoblade, but im playing it because i've got nothing else to do atm. i read about people saying "play more, play more" but damn its not even fun.
