Might be my favorite class system in gaming. 👏You can change classes but keep the same weapons equipped so you can unlock the new class arts while still playing with your leveled up set. It's a departure from the trilogy for sure with it's MMO style structure but it is also one of the greatest open worlds of all time in my opinion, it's an absolute marvel. Also, some side missions give the game way more depth. Different game, but still one I wish would get a re-release.🙂

Similar experience for me, I’ve always played Pokemon games growing up and other random rpg-lites but Xenoblade 2 was the first proper JRPG i’ve ever played and got incredibly invested into. Since then, I’ve played the trilogy and all its DLC for over 450 hours, Octopath Traveler 1&2, Live a Live, Triangle Strategy, Dragon Quest 11, FE Three Houses, Nier Automata, and now Persona 5 Royal. Truly my gateway JRPG and one of my favourite games of all time.

I knew nothing about Xenoblade when Xenoblade Definitive Edition came out, I just knew I liked the music and the game looked cool. There weren’t any big games that I was interested in at the time so I preordered the Works Set on a whim. Within the second week of quarantine, the game arrived. To say it changed my life was an understatement. It allowed me to immerse myself in a sublime world when the real world was locked down. I have played every entry in the series. It is hands down my favorite series ever made.

My first Xenoblade game was 2, and it was an amazing experience, I'm glad I gave it a chance in 2017, then I got to play DE and 3, great gaming experiences, everyone should play this trilogy. For me my favorite game is between 2 and 3 (counting DLC of both), they have amazing characters, stories, worlds and gameplay. Even if DE isn't my favorite, it's still in my top 10 games.

for some reason monolithsoft has a seriously bad habbit of just putting in blatant spoilers at the forefront of whatever crossover media they're involved with for xenoblade. example: "7" from xenoblade 1 is in alot of the promotional material for Project X Zone 2, including the opening and the back of the box

My Xenoblade journey started in 2017 with Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and I instantly fell in love with the series. It's crazy how Monolithsoft put out 2 games 1 remake and 3 DLC stories on 1 single console. I enjoyed these games so much that recently I've decided to take a look at some of Monoliths older games like Xenosaga & Baiten Kaitos the latter even has a updated version on Switch. But man do I hope Bandai Namco decides to remake Xenosaga together with Monolithsoft. If u like Xenoblade I highly advise to play Xenosaga aswell! Other then that coming from Dees community its awesome to see you make content Torque hopefully Dee picks up Xenoblade 3 soon haha!

Out of everything, it taught me how to feel, to have feelings and act on them. Before Xenoblade I never cried but after it I cry for everything now. 6:28 … I hear the music, I’m brought back to the memories of me yelling in my pillow cause a certain kiss and running scene, why? Cause the music lives in my head on repeat for free, I love XC1 for opening up my eyes beyond the box I lived in, wanting to know more about the world and broadening my view, I love XC2 for hitting me in my gut so emotionally in both story, music and characters (Pyra & Mythra top 20 characters in fiction) and I love XC3 for making me learn through multiple different lenses not to fear the inevitable, it still scares me occasionally, but never as much as before, it sucks I could never regain those experiences of the first time gameplays, they never hit or feel the same on replay, never, but thanks for even the slightest semblance of reminding me why I love Xenoblade (and the fact Rex has technically one of the longest bloodlines in Nintendo History, the goat.)

I got myself a cheap Switch from a friend when I moved out. I basically went to a remote town and lived in an apartment in which internet was hard to install so the Switch I got from said friend was most of my entertainment. Took me a month or two at the time to buy the first Xenoblade Chronicles and another few months to complete it. It has been little more than a year since I got into this series and, now with Xenoblade Chronicles 3 cleared and playing the DLC at the moment, I'm pretty much sure I found another thing to obsess over. How a little device like the Switch is able to hold a gem like this in exclusivity is beyond me but I don't care, I became a Nintendo fan again.

I had so much fun finding collectibles and adding to my little town, i wish they found a way to go more in depth with it. After playing through Eiyuden Chronicle, I was reminded of Xenoblade again when building up your castle town. I can't explain it, but I always enjoy that aspect of JRPGs over all the other mini games & side content (when offered).

I did'nt get into Xenoblade specifically until the trailers for 3 started coming out and I noticed the nopon charachters were in the party. I love stories that will have non human charachters in the main cast and especially in a party for an rpg. Variety is always good and I love when a setting with things like magic or fantastical creatures will embrace that by having non humans among the main cast. So needless to say once I saw that it sparked my curiosity and I looked into it more, eventually buying the first 2 games during the wait for Xenoblade Chronicles 3's future redeemed dlc which turned out to be a real good idea. I'm hooked on this series now and really want 4 to come out sooner rather than later.

There are great looking games out there for every console... While i admit not having played all these i cant get rid of the intuition that the Xenoblade series stands out - for "having soul". It goes deep, very deep. Its not only survival that matters but also insight and wisdom. And power is not the ultimate goal of any journey - it's rather the wisdom of how power is used. Its impressive how the Xenoblade series addresses existential issues in a mix of pleasant lightness and suprising depth. Monolith Soft has undoubtedly created masterpieces which will be remembered in the future.

Not hate at all! The comment in the video was meant to be an inside joke but in hindsight that was a bad idea, out of context it just looks mean. I played X before, with limited success on an emulator and it tainted my view of the game. But I'm thinking about hooking up my Wii U and trying it for real on the OG hardware. :)

I feel a lot of people look down on games, series, and platforms they haven't tried yet. I was that way with Zelda and Xenoblade when I was younger...But after playing new games and genres I've experienced so many stories and characters I otherwise wouldn't have So if you're still reading this, try new things! I love Xenoblade Chronicles for 2 things: Music and Worldbuilding/Setting. They are so good especially in the first and second game, for me. Plots and characters are also good but sometimes there's too much cringe japanese stuff and fanservice. Gameplay is good especially in the 3rd for quality of life ecc.

I bought Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and the Torna The Golden Country expansion at the store about a month after I bought my Switch the day Super Smash Bros Ultimate launched. I'd never played the original Xenoblade Chronicles. I ended up playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and I loved it. I eventually bought the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition and played that as well and I liked it but I still loved 2 more. I then bought Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and played it. I liked it and the tie ins and nods it had with the other two games but Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is still my favorite out of these 3 games but they're all good. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and the Torna expansion is my favorite game on the Switch and is easily one of my favorite games of all time. Right up there with the original Final Fantasy VII. I love anime and I love the game. From the story, characters, music, and gameplay. It's a true masterpiece of art.

What makes Xenoblade 1 even more insane is that it was at first a WII game. How they managed to cram such a massive semi open world JRPG packed with detail, fully animated in engine cutscenes and fully voiced dialog for those cutscenes on that system I'll never know. Monolilth Soft has some kind of tech magic at their disposal I sware. Also yeah... Xenoblade 2 is very much a "you love it or you hate it" game and definitely the weakest of the trilogy. It's story is great but it can feel like a slog and a lot of it's gameplay ideas feel underdevloped at best or actively trying to sabotage themselves at worst.
@TorqueOS

Exactly, I don't think I'd ever want somebody to fully explain to me how they managed to crush such a beast of a game down onto hardware like the Wii, because it would lose some magic. I saw it even runs on the New Nintendo 3DS model and I'm so thrown off by how talented these developers are, it's incredible.

@@TorqueOS the 3DS port was handled primarily by Monster Games. There's a Game Informer interview where they go over some of the challenges they faced with getting it to work on the system. Here's a small excerpt: "We had to design a new graphics engine with a custom visibility culling system and a complex level of detail system. As for the art assets, all of the worlds were rebuilt and optimized while keeping the same look and feel. Surprisingly, an indoor location, Agniratha, was our toughest environment. The level had many places where the screen contained the highest polygon count in the entire game. Our artists and designers had to rebuild that level several times to get it to finally perform well."

So this is a very wonderful video. I've been trying to get into the Xenoblade games. I remember supporting Project Rainfall in the Wii era. Finally getting my hands on the Wii version and I did not enjoy it. Long story short: I played Xenoblade on Wii. I bought Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U only to put the game down 5 hours in. I gave Xenoblade on the 3DS another shot and I still didn't like the game very much. Seeing the Switch version of the game release, I was indifferent. I came to the conclusion that this franchise is not for me. But listening to your video and seeing your passion for this game reinvigorated my interest yet again. Not saying I'm going to buy the game again soon. But I admit your video has tipped the scale in the games favor. Thank you for your experiences with the Switch and the Xenoblade series. I hope to hear more about your gaming experiences.

I’ve always considered myself a JRGP lover. Although, I realized as I became older that most of my played games from childhood / teenager / young adult was highly skewed towards Pokémon. When I got a Switch in 2019, I was so amazed at all the JRPGs that I can try for the first time. I played Zelda BOTW along with DeebeeGeek. I even got into Fire Emblem Three Houses along with JohneAwesome. Chuggaconroy introduced me to Xenoblade 2, which I absolutely loved. I remember it was midnight when I got to the end of Tantal, then I HAD to stay up to reunite our team. Then Xenoblade DE came out shortly after and of course Xenoblade 3 was a must-play. This series BY FAR is my all time favourite - the characters, environments, story, music, combat - everything top-notch. Absolute joyful moments along with soul-crushing ones. Now I’m going back to classics I missed that I can now play on Switch such as Final Fantasy 7, Etrian Odyssey, Digimon CyberSleuth, Persona 4/5. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE CONSOLE!
