There's a lot made about the queen's intelligence but the fact is all xenos have shown intelligence. Heck a deleted line from the first film (which can be found in the novel) indicates ash was communicating with it. This can also be seen in a deleted scene where parker almost blasts the xeno into space but it's alerted just before he can hit the switch and escapes (this scene would have been when parker went to refuel dallas flamer after dallas was snatched in the vent)

"they do what they need to survive" These creatures kill any living thing, even their own kind with the only objective being to reproduce, if it evolved naturally it means mother nature was probably trying to kill itself since this is a perfect murder machine with… some issues. Yes, they do what they need to survive, but a menace as well!

I wonder how they fertilize the eggs? Do they have drones like bees do, where they mate once and that fertilizes the eggs for the rest of their lives? Are they like ants and termites and the queens have a permanent mate? Do they have to mate every so often to renew their supply? Is there an alien king?

A lot of earth insects don't require eggs to be fertilised, heck the only eggs that are fertilised in a bee hive are those that go on to become a queen themselves. And some insects such as the button beetle can produce an egg that births a male allowing the button beetle to reproduce without the need to find a mate. As such there is no need fornthe xeno queen to need a male to reproduce. That said one comic did have a "king xeno" but this was an artificial construct created by a scientist to control a queen

yes the normal xenommourth drones can become preatoroins then into queens when needed. they tend to do this when they need to do some expanding there terrotary or in case if the older queen gets killed in some event.
