And combined with Medic's Combat Drug, your Marines become a Supersoldier. In other words, you have 8 Health Points by Default instead of 6 or 7, thus making them lasted longer in combat, especially if you include Endurance Perk where you can keep moving and fighting with less than 2 Health Points.

I have mixed feelings about the pheromone mines. Usually when I'm placing a lot of mines (especially indoors where you have a lot of corridors and hallways) it's to prevent enemies from coming at me from a particular direction, so that I'm not being attacked from multiple angles while I'm trying to clear a room of eggs or sleeping drones or something. But I also don't necessarily *want* the enemies to walk into my mines if they don't have to. If they do a U-turn back the way they came, or take a different hallway, then there's no need to waste that mine. Pheromone mines make it so that an enemy that might otherwise go about their business to a different part of the map will see your mine and come to step on it, which kind of wastes that mine. I could certainly see this being useful in more open/outdoor locations, but for indoor locations, I don't know.

Many things in this game are situational. Not everything fits every scenario. The more tools you have, the better.

The pheromone mines work really well if the alien aggressiveness is medium/hard. When there’s a lot of Xenos walking around the map the pheromone mines work well to lure them away. That I’ll do it is use a pheromone mine to draw an alien to a kill zone I set up with several sentry guns ready and when the alien sees the mine and triggers it, the other Xenos in the area will come to investigate and get caught by my sentry guns while I complete my mission. Another time I found them useful is when I had a massive onslaught incoming and I set up a couple away from my position and the mines drew a few Xenos away from the pack

The PS5 atm has THE best compression algorithm. Loading times and file size are much smaller than the competition.

@@MistaFiOth I got the extractor and grenade tech in dead hills so I guess I'm going back for that and 2 datapads... Just re-installed the game because I could not change what weapons my marines used. Bought a bunch, but nothing besides the defaults was ever listed. It was making things hard.

@@MistaFiOth Yup, now I can get the weapons to select if I mouse over where they should be but they're still invisible on the menu. Progress! May just be the laptop is not powerful enough, even on low settings.

You are right Mist Fi0th the Extraction Device is pretty useless, best to avoid such situation where you might want to use it. Also if you play stealth you don't get as much Xeno-Tech to begin with so better use it for something else. It would have been cool if they designed it in such way that we could have saved additional survivors with this on some maps.

In 5:36, there are 2 missing Xenotech Slots that are yet to be available so, what are they?

I noticed that there is 12 slots of Xeno-tech, but the 11th slot is in the research area and you could research it a bunch of times. The 12th slot is undiscovered.

Maybe, in Maximum Hive Aggression, when killing Category 2 Xenomorphs such as Crushers and Praetorians, aside from farming Samples, maybe there's a chance that one of the Xenotech will be available?

I think it's in one of the side buildings, in a XenoTech Hazard Box.

I have several times used the research to lower infestation all the way back to level 1.

You mean drop it by a whole Tier?

@@MistaFiOth yes, it is possible, but hecking expensive, can only drop it to 1 segment before tier 2, so after a day it will advance to 2 again. TBH its unrealistic to do without cheating due to the cost.

Is the Hive Tranquilliser always active/passive? I just researched it and not sure whether it's worthwhile. Can't find information anywhere regarding this.

You use it one, it lowers it by one. A day passes, it's back where it was. It just buys you time.

@@MistaFiOth I'm not at home right now (so can't check) but I'm sure it said it slowed down how quickly the aliens became more aggressive? I don't have that last upgrade that lowers planetary infestation (yet).

@@MistaFiOthApparently tranquilliser is written in American, not English. I guess it didn't translate well into Greek? It is passive. Imagine if Turkey decided to speak Greek but didn't respect the language, so simplified the spelling and grammar. You wouldn't start writing in Turkish Greek, you would continue writing in Greek Greek.

That was some commentary on US English! 😂 My bad, it's the upgrade that slows overall detection time. It stays active for the current deployment. If you return to the Otago, you have to reapply it.

@@MistaFiOth I think you would think similarly if another country hijacked your language and set about destroying it. I actually searched for the specific upgrade after your first reply (rather than all upgrades). The first thing that came up was Google asking me if I'd meant the US spelling. So yeah, the US spelling can go #%@& itself far as I'm concerned :) I managed to get some time on the game and the tranquilliser seems worthwhile. The 15% could be more generous, maybe 25%. I feel like I've been playing less cautiously as the game has progressed (pretty sure I'm going to run out of time too). I don't mind the type 2 xenomorphs but the massive onslaughts can eat through ammunition. I agree with Kevlar and anti-acid being a must. Those two upgrades are definitely really good together.

For some reason I can't find Arsenal Xeno toxin on nightmare difficulty this is outrageous? All the grinding in the game just to find out I can't use this really sucks

Refinery... I hated it on my first playthrough. Check my last night's stream. I finished it on Nightmare real quick. Might help you formulate a strategy.
