I don't think it's strange if they introduce themselves as a K-pop group. Because they actually got help from K-Pop Production. There is no need to obsess too much about globalization. Just do k-pop too. No problem though. If they continue to show good performances and music, they will become popular.

XG’s training were mainly done in Avex Japan and SS’s producers aren’t from Kpop field, they are american and japanese, some of them are from Avex USA. XG’s producer is claiming themselves as X-pop. You’re opinion is sadly not accepted lol. Oh, and don’t forget when BoA and TVXQ were promoted in Japan, their productions were all done by Japanese. They were frequently appearing in Japanese music programs, same as many Kpop groups are doing in Japan now. Maybe you need to call them J-pop artists respectfully in your theory.
